Luxury Family Chalet with Lake & Mountain Views

Walk in and feel at home straight away! Our family calls it "EasyWorld" as it sounds like the village name "Iseltwald" and life there is just so easy in every way. It is warm (both in feel and temperature), spacious, incredibly cosy, the big bath is always calling your name and you can always find a spot to feel comfortable in even when there are many of you. Games, cooking, chilling, TV watching, book reading, view gazing, skiing, swimming, hiking...it is all possible and it is just so EASY!!!
Stay in our penthouse chalet with four wrap around balconies in a village that is regularly voted as one of the most beautiful in Switzerland. The three double rooms have king sized beds and en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs you can find a spacious kids room with 2 single beds and 2 pull out comfy mattresses on a base. The mezzanine also has a single bed and allows a great view on the space itself. It is incredibly warm, the views have been described as mesmerising (by my nephew) and it is just an incredibly comfy spot to be in. We find it offers the best of both worlds depending on what you wish for. Whether it be extensive skiing domains and adrenaline filled activities and/or gentle walks, amazing scenery, restaurants and chilling out. Our family have owned it since it was built in 2008 and always look forward to being able to recharge our batteries in no time at all in such an amazing setting.
Guests can access all parts of our penthouse apartment except for our Swiss cupboard in the entrance and one area locked up in the attic for our personal belongings. Otherwise, the area is yours to enjoy!
Other things to note:
You will need to use the main house key to access the underground garage. No stress though as there is a small public car park just opposite the garage entrance so you can easily leave your car there whist you pick up the keys when you arrive.

If you are in a rush to leave on check out day, then please confirm with our housekeepers this is the case and leave the keys on the kitchen counter.
No need to lock anything 😀
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
You can of course smoke outside on our balconies but not inside the property please.
Please no loud noises on our balconies after 10pm in the evening.

Iseltwald is the perfect location for touring the Alps, hiking, water trips, and actually anything in Switzerland because the Swiss train system is extraordinary! We loved our stay. The home is very accommodating. Some of the information in VRBO needs to be updated (Wi-Fi, Cash required at check-in, No ATM in Iseltwald) but I know that will be fixed by the owner. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay and I would HIGHLY recommend this property.

Incredible views and hospitality

There are not enough words to say how awesome this house and little village are. It is a special place our family fell in love with. A perfect spot as a jumping off point for many day trips, and also a perfect place to chill and do nothing, which we did for a couple of days. Just awesome and magical.

What a spectacular chalet. The views from the chalet of the lake and the beautiful countryside are so lovely it’s like you are in a postcard. When we arrived the inside was immaculate with plenty of everything in the fully stocked kitchen. There are games and books and plenty of places to sit large groups of people, We comfortably fit 7 people with room for a few more. Beds were comfy and there are 2 outdoor tables and plenty of extra seating to overlook the magnificent lake. There is a little corner store down the road and we LOVED the gorgeous outdoor restaurant Seegarten! Check in instructions were easy and the piople helping very friendly. The host is extremely responsive and helpful, we would DEFINITELY return again!

Amazing place in a beautiful location!

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay in Iseltwald. The home was perfect for our two families with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The views were beautiful and we loved all the decks around the house. The location was perfect with so many adventures close by. It was so nice to return at the end of the day and relax at one of the restaurants in town and have a drink by the lake! Thanks for the wonderful stay! We hope to come back again someday!

We were on our way to my granddaughters wedding in Italy, and decided that we wanted to see Switzerland before going. There were 8 of us, and the chalet was perfect. It was so nice for each couple to have their own room with bathroom attached. The chalet was very clean and in a beautiful part of Switzerland. We did not rent a car, and used the bus and train to go to many different places. It worked quite well, but did have a few wait times. Andrew was wonderful to work with. He have us helpful information and answered every question very quickly, even train and bus questions. I would definitely rent again.

Perfect accommodations for my family!

My husband and I stumbled in Iseltwald when looking for a more central town to stay in Switzerland. We found this property and immediately knew we had to stay! Andrew was very responsive, helpful with our booking and ensuring our stay was 5 star throughout our stay. The property manager/house keeper was wonderful and ensured we were informed on all the nearby activities for our family. The house has stunning views (I constantly told my family that I felt we were in a Fairytale story book!) just as pictured, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room for my parents, kids and husband. My kids said this was the best house they have ever stayed in and I couldn’t agree more! We are already talking about our return trip back! One thing I missed on the listing is this is a lodge with many apartments. This apartment is the penthouse so there is plenty of room.

Chalet exceeded our expectations

My sister and I, our spouses and 5 kids (ages 13 - 24) chose this as our home base when visiting family in Switzerland. We could not have been happier. The bedrooms and number of bathrooms worked out great for our large group. The chalet was completely stocked with everything you would need and was in great shape. Check-in and check-out were very easy. We really liked the parking garage under the chalet. The host was very communicative before and during our stay, and provided us with a wonderful booklet of activities in the area. The large dining room table and 2 separate couch areas worked out great for our party of 9! We had numerous small balconies off various rooms, but the balcony that ran the entire length of the upstairs was spectacular. We had coffee every morning outside and ended every day with wine on the balcony overlooking the lake. It was so peaceful. The best surprise for us was the town of Iseltwald itself. We picked the chalet because of the layout and pictures. Turns out the location was very central to getting around and only a few minutes off the autoroute. The town itself was so charming and a 2 minute walk down the street. A number of very good and charming restaurants and a convenience store on the corner that was even better than the Migros we drove to. The kids went for ice cream and walked around alot. I would definitely stay here again and highly recomment it. We loved it.

Gelungene Kurzferien in Iseltwald

Wir verbrachten zu 9. vier tolle Tage in Iseltwald in diesem wunderbaren Appartment. Wir hatten zwei Rollstuhlgänger dabei und dies ging sehr gut in der Wohnung. Sie war super eingerichtet, man fühlte sich gleich wie zu Hause. Der Check-In und Check-Out war sehr unkompliziert. Es ist nur zu Empfehlen.

Hello! I am a veterinarian who has a passion for animal nutrition and preventative health management. This is our family holiday home which we have owned since it was built in 2008. You will find it incredibly comfortable, modern, warm and ideally located for both winter and summer fun. We have the entire top floor of the chalet and made it quite different by combining both apartments into one very large apartment with plenty of light throughout. We are new to Air BnB but hope you will love our home as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property as a new build in 2008 and actually combined two apartments into one in order to make it as large and airy as possible. As a family we have been coming here at least 4-6 times a year for the amazing summers and brilliant winter skiing. I also ended up staying here for 18 months during the recent lock down and I must say I fell in love all over again with the apartment and local area. It is just an incredibly cosy place to be with everything you could possibly need at an arm's length.
We adore this place and we sincerely hope you will do as well!

What makes this property unique

Our chalet is wheelchair access friendly from the time you enter our underground garage. The whole chalet (apart from the room upstairs) is on one level.
Being at the top of the chalet offers incredible views on the surrounding mountains and lake. Compared to other properties in the area, the apartment is very modern and clean combined with incredibly easy access whether you are young or old. The fact that the lift door enters the property directly from the garage below also makes moving luggage and equipment super easy. You also have a balcony to be on regardless of where the sun is and due to the size of the living space, there is always a spot you can find that is quiet and separate from everyone else in your party. Finally, the large oval bath in the main bathroom is just a joy to behold and it is incredibly difficult to not have one every night.
Otherwise, the fact that it is not a ski in / ski out offers the distinct advantage of having a much larger chalet for your buck as well as being able to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy ski resort. It is a truly peaceful place to be in possibly one of the most beautiful spots of Switzerland. After all, Iseltwald is regularly voted in the top three most beautiful villages in the whole of Switzerland. Not a bad feat indeed.
