Newly renovated property. This house has been designed as a holiday home. It is totally private for the guests use, with large garden, outside seating area, BBQ and parking. Breath-taking views to the famous Jungfrau Mountain. A fantastic position to explore the region and then come home and relax in private. Downtown Interlaken is only 2 km away. Big shopping mall and supermarkets are within 800 m. Hiking and jogging trails on the hill across the street.

The ground floor has a comfortable lounge and a fully equipped kitchen with open plan dining. There is also a bathroom and a twin bedroom. In the big backyard of the house is the garden, BBQ and outside dining area.
Leading up to the first floor are 4 more bedrooms, another bathroom and balcony.
The property has fast 250 Mbps and reliable WIFI, parking and washing machine.

Very nice

Stayed here mid July for 3 nights. It was very tidy and quiet. Really just a beautiful area and easy access for excursions. Chris was attentive. Would stay here again.

Cousins Interlaken Vacation

We were a group of 8 adults visiting Interlaken and were very pleased with our stay at the Jungfrau Family Home. We found the accommodations very comfortable and the kitchen was a good size for having meals with a large group. We found the location of the home to be quite good and we were able to walk to restaurants, stores and transportation. We would be more than happy to return when we come back to Interlaken.

great family vacation

The house was like made for our family of parents, adult children with partners, grandchild and dog. Big kitchen/dining room, living, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Walking distance to Interlaken center, and with complimentary bus passes it was easy to get around. Shopping center in walking distance. We had a great time!

Great house for a large family vacation - Beautiful Area

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was great with a view of the Jungfrau mountain in the back. The house was exactly as advertised and was great for our party of nine. Very private and quiet.We went hiking in the mountains each day and it was a 20 minute walk to the train station, so the location was great. Grocery stores nearby.There was no air conditioning, so we had to keep the windows open and that let in a lot of flies. We did have to deal with a lot of flies throughout the region during our visit.Wish they had either extra pillows or thicker pillows for the beds.

Mit unsere Familie haben wir uns gefreut, nach Interlaken zu reisen.Das Haus innen war soweit sauber, für 7 Gäste und 2 Babys sehr wenig Bade und Küchentücher vorhanden. Die Kücheneinrichtig sollte dringend überprüft werden, Bratpfannen sind nicht zu gebrauchen.Der Garten hat uns richtig enttäuscht, schmutziger Grill, nasse Kohle und überall Gerümpel..die Stühle schmutzig, kaputt und dringend ersetzbar. Mit 2 kleinen Kindern absolut inakzeptabel.Der versprochene Rückruf von Chris kam auch nicht.Wir würden dieses Haus nicht weiterempfehlen. Braucht dringend erforderliche Renovationen.

Great time!

We had a great time at this home in Interlaken with two families. Chris met us when we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed. It was only a 20-30 min walk to the train station (No hills) and even shorter if you caught the bus. It was a relaxing home with very comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen.

The host was communicative and helpful. The home was spacious as advertised. The view out the back bedroom windows was even more amazing than the photos. Gorgeous. Walking areas nearby (horses and cows too). About a one mile walk to Interlaken OST station. Loved our stay in this comfortable home.

Zustand des Hauses

Die Lage des Hauses ist super. Leider war das Haus nicht unbedingt sauber. Die Fenster waren zum teil nicht gereinigt. Wir konnten mold feststellen bei der Waschmaschine unten. Die vorgeschriebenen Abfall Säcke waren nicht auffindbar. Nach einem Telefon mit dem Hauseigentümer einigten wir uns auf schwarze bereitgelegte Affallsaecke, die aber nie abgeholt wurden. Bei der Abreise war der Abfall und die leeren Flaschen und Dosen einfach neben der Haustüre aufgeschichtet. Ab der zweiten Woche war der Eigentümer nicht mehr telefonisch erreichbar. Wir waren auch überrascht das im Keller noch jemand wohnte. Wir bekamen auch nur ein Frottiertuch pro Bett. Es war auch nicht genügend Geschirr vorhanden. Wir werden das Haus nicht weiter empfehlen.

Schöne Pfingstferien

Also mit 12 köpfige Gruppe haben wir ein sehr angenehmes We in Berneroberland verbracht. Grillen, kochen, trinken und anstoßen und gut geschlafen sogar. Die Umgebung ist wirklich schön es lohnt sich Ausflüge dort zu machen. Vielen Dank Chris 5 Sternen!

Perfect lodging for Jungfrau Marathon

Stayed here with a large group for the 2019 Jungfrau Marathon. The property is less than a mile from the starting line in Interlaken. The house was immaculate with all amenities as advertised. Chris and Jake were very communicative and helpful with all questions and issues. We would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed here with a group of 9 friends and had an amazing time. It's right down the street from local bars and grocery stores. The host swung by on our first night to introduce himself and make sure everything was perfect for us, as well as gave us some great recommendations for places to check out. The house was beautiful inside and had a full kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, etc. If my friends and I ever make it out to Interlaken again we will definitely be staying here again.

House is an old swiss home totally remodeled. wow

our family of 7 had a great time plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Owner Chris met us, made sure we had bus passes, charcoal for the grill even bikes to ride. as we did not have a car we went everywhere by train bus and boat. the distance to bus station was a good 10minutes flat walk so you'd need a car if that distance is too far. We would definitely rent here again.

Carpentry is not just my trade it is my passion. I am the owner and manager of three properties which I myself have designed and fully renovated with great care and detail.
I am an international kind of guy who has lived, worked and travelled in many countries .
I speak fluent English, French, German, Greek and am learning to speak Italian.
I love having contact with tourists and travelers. Since Interlaken is such a fantastic destination it was life’s natural progression that I became a holiday apartment host.

Why they chose this property

My parents, who are now retired, purchased this property in 2016 from the heirs of an old farmer, who has lived there all his long live. In the years 1992 to 2002 my parent's family has lived on the same street, 200 meters from this house. All these years we have enjoyed living in this beautiful Interlaken region with the majestic Jungfrau Mountain, the lakes, the valleys, the picturesque villages. (In 2001 the Jungfrau Region was chosen as the first Alpine UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site).
We have enjoyed all kind of outdoor activities, as biking, skiing, sailing, river rafting paragliding.
From April 2016 to August 2017 I have renovated this old house by myself and with a number of excellent specialists. We have set up the house to be used as a holiday home.
