Great flat
Av as host welcomed us personally and provided us lots of goodies upon arrival. Flat was extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated. The village lovely thatched cottages. We used it as a base to explore Dorset and great birding at blashford lakes highly recommend that. Herons and egrets on the Avon at the flat. We would come again.

Hello, we’re Av, Julie, Merlin and Poppy. Welcome to our page!

We’re an engaged couple and we love travelling in England and abroad. We enjoy reading, movies and quiet nights in as well as plenty of adventure out!

We have the most amazing Jackapoo called Merlin and Cockapoo called Poppy. They're a part of the family already, love meeting new people and is are absolute bundles of joy!

Why they chose this property

This area is a real hidden gem which we were lucky to stumble upon and move into a few years ago.

We fell in love with the beautiful 200 year old building and it's surroundings. We're delighted to now be able to share that with other guests!

What makes this property unique

The inside of the flat is very rustic and cosy. We love that you can still see the river from the main living/dining room and enjoy quiet nights in with some movies and board games.

The garden is our favourite spot. Whether it's cooking up a BBQ, reading a book on the chair, having a drink and birdwatching from the bench or watching the sunset and then star gazing with the firepit on. It's an amazing place to relax and unwind. Perfect for people after some peace and quiet, surrounded by nature and best enjoyed with no rain! We do however, have an all weather gazebo so it can still be used and enjoyed all year round.

We love the evening ambiance from the garden when the lights are all on and the firepit is burning, a truly magic site and place to stay.
