morpeth clock tower flats

a reasonable property that is very well located for all amenities in this lovely town. the couch was a little low to the ground for us as we have problems with our knees ( old age catching up ) and carrying the luggage up the stairs made me breathless ( my fault as I should have checked this before booking ), but the flat was comfortable and we had an excellent time. Many thanks to Victoria for the prompt way she communicated with us when we had a small problem to resolve.

Well sited but very poor appartment

Property manager forgot to send code for key safe. Managed to get it indirectly by email but no easy contact was forthcoming thereafter. Street door lock cheap and worn. Next door to lobby broken and taped up. Lobby not been cleaned for weeks. Cheap lock on door to apartment. Security practically non existent. Six windows (2 in living room,2 in each bedroom) screwed shut.Not safe , awaiting replacement. Only window that opened for ventilation in kitchen.If open possible to step directly into kitchen from fire escape. Fittings and furnishings cheap and tawdry. Toilet seat loose. No information about use of heating,microwave etc. in apartment. Appartment was acceptably clean and bed comfortable. Our enjoyment of our stay in Morpeth had nothing to do with the appartment and I will never use your agency again.

Hi Thank you for your feedback. An email is scheduled to be sent with check in instructions the day before bookings. I do this as the key safe code is changed regularly for security reasons. This maybe is why you did not receive check in instructions the week before. I have taken on board your comment on the toilet seat and will have it looked at asap. The windows are old and are locked for safety until the replacements go in in June. Unfortunately it has taken us some time to organise due to planning as it is a conservation area. Apologies for the inconvenience of not being able to open them. We do however have an air conditioning unit and fans available in both bedrooms. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience.
