Our stay at the hideaway was nothing short of just beautiful… the location was fabulous the hideaway itself is decorated throughout to a high standard and has been tastefully done.. the location is fantastic for some lovely walks and fantastic sight seeing definitely would return thank you so much

Short Stay Away

Lovely property, very clean and well presented. The welcome pack went down a treat (especially the wine and ginger cake). We had a fun time playing 'find the cutlery'! Elaine the host was very easy to get hold of and very helpful, when I needed to get in touch with a quick query (via WhatsApp). Perfect location for visiting Alnwick Gardens. The only negative is that the property was advertised as having parking, which I assumed was on-site. You can drop off /collect your bags, but the parking was free local parking within a minutes walk at the end of the road by the riverside. Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area, and very happy to recommend to friends and family. Thanks Elaine for a great stay.

Wonderful break in Northumberland

The property was as described . Very comfortable and with all the things needed for our stay. The location couldn't have been better for the lovely town of Warkworth and for the two local pubs. Warkworth beach is a must to visit. Local shop sells most things and Amble is close by for Tesco etc. Altogether a really relaxing place and fully recommended.

I am originally from Amble and spent most of my younger years in and around Warkworth. I now live near Morpeth with my husband and 2 older children. We have 3 dogs ourselves and always struggled to find good quality holiday accomodation that allowed our dogs without compromising on quality. We originally bought our first holiday cottage in 2019 "Gerties Getaway" in Amble as a base to stay while we visited family but quickly discovered there were a lot of people like ourselves who wanted to have a break away with (and without) their dog and didn't want to compromise on the quality of accommodation they could stay in. We now have 5 cottages in Amble and Warkworth which offer a luxurious break away with friends and family. Although our properties are dog friendly we pride ourselves in exceptional cleanliness and high standards meaning our properties appeal to both guests with and without dogs

Why they chose this property

The Hideaway was completely renovated by ourselves in 2022/ 2023 and is a stunning property in a prime location. It is hidden away down a small road just off the Main Street in Warkworth and is accessed by a small shared courtyard which is only shared with 3 other properties. The Hideaway is the only property which has a private enclosed rear garden.
