An ideal property for a quiet, relaxing, family holiday. The house dates back to 1869 and has been extensively refurbished. It is situated in the small hamlet of Le Treuil, thirty-five minutes from Bergerac Airport and located near Douzillac in the heart of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of southwestern France. There is a below-ground 9.6m x 4.6m swimming pool, a large barn dating back to 1872 and a private drive with parking available for two cars. The garden and grounds provide a spacious opportunity for outside eating and relaxation. The house offers an ideal base to explore the fabulous châteaux’s, picturesque villages and historic towns of the Dordogne region of France, as well as being within easy reach of local shops and amenities.

An enchanting house

Our extended family spent a glorious week in this magical house to celebrate our son’s wedding in Saint Vincent de Connezac. The house and its location made our stay very comfortable and convenient running between events. Everyone was very happy with their room and enjoyed our time together inside and outside the house at the pool and the barbecue. Couldn’t have been better. Loved the farmer dowb the road.

These were very gracious guests. They were respectful and appreciative. We are grateful for their positive comments, and delighted they had an enjoyable stay with us. Our management agent reported to us that the property was left in good order, clean and tidy. I wish to give them 5* for everything. They were excellent guests and did not complain despite having no internet for part of the week, which was an inconvenience despite not being in our control. Thank you so much!
