My friends and I had a fantastic time - the accomodations were great. We were within walking distance of mini market, restaurants, shopping and train/taxi service.The VRBO was very spacious, we loved having a washer and dryer and air conditioning in the unit. Our host was wonderful. He greeted us and provided a wonderful tour of the unit. Answered all questions that we had and gave recommendations of local restaurants.The only draw back is that it is a fourth floor walk up, so if you have limited mobility then this would not be the place for you. It gave us a great way to get our steps in for the day!We definately would book again!

Huge bonus: air conditioning – rare for Paris short-term rentals. This was a must for us given our bad luck with heat waves on vacations, and it paid off: an extreme heat wave started two days after we arrived. Thankfully, the AC kept up with no issues and kept the apartment cool and dry. (If it's cool at night, the courtyard and street are very quiet, so opening windows is no problem – the high floor catches good breezes.)

This is a very spacious and bright, updated 17th century apartment on the top floor of a four-story (not five as we'd feared) walkup on a very quiet yet central side street in the Marais. Extremely comfortable and furnished. The manager was a treat to deal with and explained every feature and quirk. It was really nice to stay in such an old Parisian residence with so much history. Some of us in our late 60s were winded by the four story-climbs, but the steps are spacious and not steep. Still, they were a disincentive to run down in the morning to grab a loaf of bread or go out for other than full day excursions and dinners. One note: it's really two half-baths, not 1.5. One has a sink and shower, the other a sink and toilet. No real problem for us, but something to keep in mind. The Marais never disappoints as a base for our trips to Paris.

What a wonderful apartment, in a wonderful neighborhood, owned and maintained by wonderful people. If you can handle 4 flights of stairs, stay here. Such a unique place representative of the family that has maintained it. The street is a quiet one in a sea of a wonderfully busy and vibrant surroundings. Highly recommend!

If your group can fit here comfortably this place is a "must-stay." It's in the best part of Paris, on a tiny perfect side street just steps away from amazing food, sights, and more. Just walking up the stairs to the apartment is like passing through a dream. Once you're in the apartment you'll be charmed if not blown away by the tile floors, exposed wood beams, eccentric art, a peek at the Pompadou and even an upright spinet piano. Paris is wonderful to begin with, and it's possible this place was the highligh of our 3-day stay.

Great residence in the heart of the Marais

This was a great apartment in the heart of a great area in Paris. Right from the start our host gave us great directions and we were able to drop of our bags to go explore Paris. This quiet apartment had lots of space with a great kitchen, nice beds and shower. We really enjoyed our stay and visited some great restaurants, boulangeries, and museums close by.

The apartment is very comfortable and quiet. The location was wonderful - easy access to supermarket, metro, Boulanger, etc. The only downside is the 96 steps up to the apartment, but our host was kind enough to help carry bags up the stairs, and we left in much better shape than in which we arrived! Definitely recommend for anyone with good mobility.

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful apartment in Paris. The location was in a great neighborhood in a gorgeous old building. Walking distance to landmarks and easy metro access. Great neighborhood cafes. We found the fourth floor spiral staircase to be a quirky fun addition to our trip, but would not recommend to those unable to climb stairs. The owner was very kind and funny. Excellent amenities and the best AC I’ve experienced in Europe. One of my favorite VRBO experiences, would 100% recommend.

Our Le Marais stay

We had a great stay here, the property is in an awesome location with easy access to transport/attractions. Loads of good bars and cafes all around it and area busy but safe at night. Unfortunately the air conditioning was temporarily not working and temperatures were very high during our stay, despite two large fans provided the apartment was uncomfortably warm.

Perfect location in Marais

If a central location is needed this is a perfect apartment. The kitchen is not ideal for large dinners, but who eats at home when there are plenty of restaurants in the area. The beds are also a bit narrow, but we still had a wonderful stay. Everything was clean and nice and that's important!

Convenience in the center of Paris

We quickly learned our way around. This location is very central to the subway and bus so you can go to all the sights. It is a fourth floor walk-up so make sure you are fit. Our host was most helpful and met us at the apartment to show us around.
