Aubergine cottage is a large spacious cottage with patio area and BBQ that is located centrally on the Bay village.

Enter into a spacious hallway, with space for your coats and shoes. Ahead is a large luxury kitchen diner / lounge with all the appliances you'll expect for a self-catering break including a large freestanding fridge freezer and granite worktops.

The kitchen features luxury upgraded hob and granite worktop - ideal for making amazing family meals! There is an excellent dining space in the kitchen, with extended dining table seating 6 with french doors to the patio, and 2 large comfortable sofas. The lounge area features SMART TV - bring your logins for cosy nights in!

The patio area features a stunning new outdoor bench and table for 6 people with a brick built BBQ - ideal for summer breaks!

Across the hall there is a WC and access to a large king size bedroom with windows to the front and rear.

Free unlimited fast wi-fi throughout.

Upstairs, you will find a twin bedroom and a master with king size bed, walk-through wardrobe area, and a shower room ensuite. There is also a very spacious family bathroom with bath and shower over.

Great 4 night stay.

Excellent location & the house was comfortable with everything needed for the week. Lovely welcome pack on arrival with coffee, tea, sweets & biscuits.

Lovely cottage

This cottage was the best we have stayed in on the Bay and we are frequent visitors there and we have stayed in various accommodation, it was very clean and well maintained with all the little nick nacks you could want, very impressed.

Excellent stay

We had a great family holiday with our 10 month old staying at Aubergine Cottage. Facilities on site are good (swimming pool especially, if the weather isn't so good). The cottage was immaculate and some lovely touches from the owner, who clearly takes great pride and care in the place. It felt very homely. Short walk to the beach, lots of places nearby to visit. We will be back I'm sure!

Lovely property

We had a lovely stay at Aubergine Cottage. Beautiful properly, well furnished with everything you need. Plenty of cleaning products already in the property which made it easy to keep it clean throughout the holiday. The only thing missing was a tray for the high chair which I’ll be sure to bring next time we come! I’d definitely book this property again

Beautiful house

This was our 3rd time at Aubergine over the last 3 years. It is a lovely, comfortable house that suits us as my elderly father can use the downstairs bedroom and toilet which is nearby. There is a family bathroom upstairs and an en-suite to the double room. It is very comfortable and relaxing. It has everything you need and there is a really nice welcome Box with t.bags, coffee, biscuits, coffee etc. Can recommend this house on The Bay as it's a nice quiet area too.

long weekend

Very pleasant long weekend stay, the house was like home from home. Very clean, shower was hot and worked well, my bed was very comfortable and slept well. Complex had everything you may need and the beach was a little walk away. when the sea was out it was a great walk along the beach to Filey (next town up) for coffee and cake. All positive, thank you.

Unfortunately it appeared the cottage had not been cleaned due to several areas requiring cleaning!.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am gutted to read that the cleanliness of the cottage fell short of the high standards we set for ourselves and my sincere apologies for this. On check in you found that the cleanliness was not up to our high standards, and you were able to follow the procedure we outlined for such rare eventualities. On that basis our housekeeper sent a team of three cleaners within one hour of your phone call to do a mini deep clean. I am therefore surprised at your rating of 1/5. Anthony also arranged a cash gesture of good will in order for you to enjoy a drink at the on site pub whilst the cleaning procedures took place. During your stay a light bulb ‘went’ in the downstairs toilet and the toilet roll holder in the en suite shower room worked loose. You mentioned that you did not require a call out for these minor issues as it would not adversely affect your holiday, and both of these issues were corrected within half an hour of you checking out. You mentioned in your e mail that the customer service and communication had been to a high standard and therefore I am surprised that you rated this as 3/5. If you stay with us again, please note that the phone numbers for the housekeeper, Anchor Bay holidays and myself (as the owner) are clearly displayed and we are always open to being contacted as we all want you to have the best holiday experiences possible.

November! Needed a break!

We had a lovely, relaxing 4 night stay, Aubergine cottage fulfilled our expectations! kitchen well equipped, appliances easy to use. Lounge comfortable, though settees a bit “tired”. Bedrooms good, though ground floor didn’t have a mirror. Outside area well set up with seating overlooking spacious garden area, easy parking near cottage. Would definitely book again.

Lovely 3 night break.

We had 6 adults in the group and the cottage was perfect, very clean and very warm. Received a very generous welcome pack, thank you. We all agreed beds very comfy. Kitchen was well stocked. Everything there to cook a family meal. We only had 3 nights stay and would have loved a few more days. Will definitely book the cottage again. Thank you

Family holiday

Excellent cottage lovely and clean with everything we needed. The only problem we had was that one of the outside benches was broken and my 2yr old grand daughter's leg slipped through it grazing her foot. I reported it straight away and someone was sent to repair it a couple of days later. I did read in the guest book it had been broken before and repaired in May, Hopefully the out door furniture will be placed as the table was also worse for wear with splinters, All told we would choose to stay in Aubergine cottage again.

The previous repair was to the table not the bench - we have now taken delivery as soon as you reported the fault of a stunning brand new table and bench set. Lovely stay aubergine cottage

We had a lovely few days at aubergine cottage, it had everthing we needed at a great location at The Bay. The cottage was lovely and clean and the welcome pack was a nice touch. The only downside when we arrived was that we had to empty the clean plates/pans etc from the dishwasher (not something you really want to do when you arrive), but again nothing major. A couple of things that would improve the stay would be TVs in each of the bedrooms we travelled as two couples with a young child and only the main bedroom upstairs had a TV. Also no mirror on the bedroom on the ground floor either. Overall a lovely stay and the cottage suited us perfectly with a lovely grassed area to the rear which my three year loved playing on. The cottage had everything you needed and was a home from home. We will definately be returning again. This is the third time using Anchor Bay Holidays and each time we have stayed in a different cottage and so far they have all been great!
