Excellent base for a visit to Oxford, with the city centre a pleasant half-hour walk across parks to get there. A quiet residential street with some local shops and public transport nearby. Flat was spotless and well furnished with parking out the back. Plenty of space in the kitchen/lounge and a well-equipped kitchen. Host answered any questions quickly and helpfully and no issues with access on arrival. The balcony was an added bonus for coffee in the morning or sitting out in the evening.

Diamond in the rough

The home was in a locked building and was obviously recently renovated, spacious. We ended up not staying --- there was no air conditioning and the housing units directly across the street appeared to be low income housing (people sitting in the yard on a couch, sheets for curtains)

I apologize for the inconvenience caused by your decision not to stay in our flat. We have listed our property on various platforms, and we take great care to ensure that our photos and descriptions accurately represent the property. The building itself is brand-new, as it was completed in the first week of September 2022, making it less than a year old. I would like to clarify that air conditioning is not available in the building, and this information is clearly mentioned in the property details that can be found in the facilities section. We understand that this may not meet everyone's preferences, and we apologize for any discomfort you experienced as a result. In England, it is common for regular houses and flats not to have air conditioning as a standard feature, unlike hotels. This is a general practice in the country. Therefore, our property, being a typical flat in England, does not have air conditioning. We apologize if this was not explicitly communicated to you beforehand. We understand that this may have been an inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding of this local norm. Regarding your comment about the housing units across the street, I must respectfully disagree with your characterization of them as low-income housing. We consider such remarks to be discriminatory towards our neighbourhood. The people living in the area are respectable individuals, and we have never encountered any issues with our local community. Our previous guests have provided us with predominantly positive ratings, with an average score of 9 out of 10. I apologize if you felt otherwise during your visit. We value feedback from our guests and strive to address any concerns they may have. However, I would like to emphasize that we have never received a complaint of this nature from any previous guests who have stayed in our two flats.
