Fabulous forest retreat set in 2 acres of garden right on the doorstep of 30,000 acres of The Royal Forest of Dean. If you are looking for a magical place to spend time with family or friends this year then this is definitely the location for you. 4 double ensuite bedrooms with bath or shower and loo plus 1 twin room with ensuite shower and loo. Separate lodge room with double bed and 2 singles on a mezzanine floor with ensuite shower and loo. The house is located at the end of its own forest track and right in the middle of endless beautiful forest walks. Cosy lounge and reception hall with two woodburners. Huge kitchen diner with tables that seat 14. Mini zip wire in the garden for the kids plus sunken stone fire pit with seating around the fire - perfect for toasting marshmallows after supper on the terrace.

Hidden Gem! Something from everyone.

Booked this for my Wife’s surprise birthday with friends and family. The booking and check in process was very simple and efficient and the hosts were very helpful in arranging the property for us before we arrived. In arrival we were all blown away by this woodland paradise. This is a very well done eco-hideaway, with a lot of thought into what a large group would need to have a retreat in the forest. There is a zip wire and trails around the garden that kept the children entertained all weekend. Great touch! There is a large patio with outdoor dining chairs and tables, BBQ, fire pit, pizza oven and so much more. We spent the evening with the fire on, stargazing with a bit of music and a beverage or 2, it was fantastic. The forest and its many footpaths are adjacent to the property entrance, so plenty of places to walk the dogs and get a bit of fresh air in the ancient Forest of Dean. In the gardens there are also multiple geo-domes, which I only wish I knew were there, as this increases the Accomodations guest potential, and I would have certainly hired a few of those had I known. The kitchen and living areas cater for everything needed. Large drinks fridge, multiple food fridges and a freezer, dishwasher, large internal dining table and chairs and plenty of seating around a log fire. If you are looking for high end modern, this is probably not the place for you, but if you love well designed eco-friendly spaces, with something for all ages, you’ll love this place!
