Wonderful place to stay and relax. Bring some good food and take advantage of the cooking facilities. Lovely quiet spot and the cottage is ideal.
Highly recommend.
Very nice and clean cottage ideal for a Family of four. It‘s close to Plymouth for shopping (important on a rainy day…:-)), to the sea as well Dartmoor for hiking. The landlord is very friendly and always supporting you. Glad staying there for one week.
We were impressed with the well appointed interior, which was lovely and comfortable. The outside is attractive, with proper stone walls and garden area. Perfect.
We had a lovely 4 night break at tawny cottage. It had everything a family with young children could need. Beds were all really comfy, it was warm and very well equipped. We'll definitely be back soon as we regularly visit family in Plymouth and Callington. Thanks Mike and Tine for a lovely stay :)

An absolute gem in a wonderful location.
Tawny cottage was everything as described and more. It is a beautifully renovated property in a wonderful woodland setting. Exceptionally well maintained and tastefully decorated. It was comfortable, cosy and extremely well equipped. The owners Mike and Tine and their lovely family went out of their way to make us feel at home and the cream tea (home made!) flowers and herbs were a nice personal touch. We have stayed in Cornwall many times in some lovely properties but Tawny cottage tops the lot. We cannot wait to return. Dave, Jan and Kyle, Liverpool.

This property has everything you need for a great relaxing holiday. Close to so many beautiful Cornish beaches to wander along and swim in the crystal clear sea, although at 10 degrees it was more than refreshing!! We loved our stay, thank you xx
Really lovely clean and well-equipped cottage from which to explore Rame peninsula. Owners very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to and within easy reach of coastline and plenty of places to visit and for walking. Thoroughly enjoyed our break

About the host
Hosted by Michael Evans, Tine Evans, Frank Evans, Doreen Evans
We are Michael Evans, my wife Tine and our daughter Amy, also my parents Frank and Doreen. We have been holidaying in Cornwall and Devon for many years and decided that when my parents finally retired we would all sell up and move to the west country to enjoy the fresh air, wonderful countryside and fantastic beaches.
Why they chose this property
Glebe barn, with the twin cottages of Tawny and Apple Tree gave us the living space we needed, with the added bonus of the chance of running a holiday let. I have been coming to Whitsand Bay since i was a young boy, and we have rented many holiday lets over the years and always envied the lifestyle and wanted to give it a try for ourselves. We loved the location of the property, it is very private as we are surrounded by woodland, but not too remote and quick access to the main road makes visiting the many sights and places of interest in the area very easy indeed.
What makes this property unique
We feel the property offers a unique blend of the tranquility of being surrounded by woodland, and nature at the centre of the Rame Peninsula, whilst also being close to good transport routes, a major city and many other towns and villages of interest.
