The flats are the result of a split of a larger unit. The initial idea was to provide stable accommodation for students attending the Milan Polytechnic, whose campus is close to the apartment.
Over time, the neighbourhood has been redeveloped and needs have changed, seeing an increase in demand for travellers wishing to visit the city and workers with work needs in the city of Milan, given the ease of travel by public transport from the home.
