This cozy apartment is located in a small house in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a 15-minute walk from Neutor, the gateway to Salzburg’s historic old town.
It was largely newly furnished 2 years ago with great attention to detail, ensuring that our guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay.
Thanks to the electronic Nuki locks, check-in is very easy. You can check yourself in at any time after 3:00 pm.
The Space: This charming apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, just a 15-minute walk from Salzburg’s historic center. It is on the 1st floor (above the ground floor) of a small building with a total of six apartments. The apartment consists of 2 rooms, a kitchen, dining corner and a bathroom.
Bedroom: Comfortable queen-size double bed Wardrobe
Additional wardrobe in the hallway with a safe deposit box for your valuables
Living Room: Sofa, convertible into a comfortable queen-size double bed Bookcase with books and games smart TV table, lamps, carpet books and games Armchair
Kitchen & Dining Area: Fully equipped kitchen: dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, coffee machine, Nespresso machine, toaster, and plenty of dishes Dining table with 4 chairs
Bathroom: Shower, WC, hairdryer, and toiletries
Additional Amenities: Bed linen and towels included
Non-smoking apartment Free Wi-Fi
On the ground floor: a small shared laundry room with washing machine and dryer (shared by my three apartments, second door on the right side)
Location & Attractions: Most of Salzburg’s attractions are within walking distance: the fortress, museums, the Festspielhaus (home to most concerts and operas of the Salzburg Festival), Mirabell Gardens, and more.
In winter, a special ski bus takes guests to nearby ski resorts.
Tip: If you stay 3 days or longer, I highly recommend purchasing a 3-day Salzburg Card. It includes: Free entrance to all museums and sightseeing attractions Free use of all city buses Cable car up the Untersberg The 3-day card is only slightly more expensive than a 1-day pass and offers great value.
Guest Access: All 3 apartments have in common a washing room in the ground floor, second door to the right, with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Guests can also use the little garden in the back and the bycicle hut- in case they have or rent a bike.
The Neighborhood: What I love about my neighbourhood is that it is very pleasant, there are mainly small houses, it is quiet and nevertheless close to the historical center. It is a pleasant 15 minutes walk . There are many restaurants close by, from 3-4 to 10 walking minutes distance. There are busses close by but you don`t hear them, it is close to the airport but you don`t hear the planes, it is just a few minutes by taxi to the train station, a perfect location.
Getting Around: About 5-6 walking minutes away, on Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse across the street bus number 2 ill take you to the airport. On Max Glaner Hauptstrasse across the street bus number 1 (station Glansteg, 4-5 walking minutes from the apartment) will take you to the center and to the train station. We drew in the bus stop on a map you will find on the table.
Other Things to Note: If no guests are leaving on the day of your arrival, you can check in at any time. I just need to know it. Otherwise, the apartment will be ready around 3:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage from 10:30 AM and go for a walk until the apartment is ready. Please let me know, because I need to change the access time of your code for the electronic locks from 3 pm to your arrival time. On your departure day, I need the apartment at 10:00 AM for final cleaning.
Interaction with Guests: As I don’t live in Salzburg, I am not always able to meet my guests at the apartment. Therefore, I provide them with detailed instructions on how to access the apartment and information about the apartment. My neighbor on the ground floor, left door, Mariana Teodorian, who speaks English, Dutch, Spanish, and German, takes care of my guests and my apartments when I am not there.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Location, Location and Location. Easy walk 3-5 mint to two different bus routes gives you access to all areas of Salzburg and beyond. Want to eat out, one Gashouse down the street, friendly folks, Greek and Italian restaurants just 8-10 walk. Kitchen was furnished very well, loved the Nespresso!

I am very happy you were satisfied with our apartment. If you follow the way we drew into the map which we left on the table, it should not take more than 15 minutes to walk up to Neutor, the entrance to the old town.
Best wishes, Ruth
Ruth was an excellent host and the apartment was exactly as described. It’s situated in a great location in Salzburg and was walking distance to plenty of attractions.

Location good. Don’t do laundry
Bus stop and grocery is walking distance. Nice and quiet. Doing laundry is a hassle, machine always full, dryer doesn’t dry. Tight quarters in kitchen.

Dear guests
As I told you, if you had asked Mariana she would have cleaned the filter for you and the dryer would have worked perfectly well. I am sorry you did not ask her. I am very sorry that the washing machine was always full when you wanted to use it. As it is dor all 3 apartments this can happen. I always write the guests to take their laundry out as soon as it is ready. Unfortunately not ecerybody does.
I am surprised that you find the kitchen "tight quarters". I think the kitchen is fairly large and this is the first time I get such a complaint. I am really sorry if it was too tight for you. My very best wishes, Ruth
We stayed here for two nights during winter. The apartment was very easy to find, very close to everything, and most importantly very warm and welcoming!
The unit was very clean and we had no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend staying here if you need a place to stay during your stay in Beautiful Salzburg

My husband, daughter and I found the apartment conveniently located and very clean and comfortable. There were many little touches that are really thoughtful and show that the comfort of renters is important. I would definitely stay here again if given a chance to visit Salzburg again.

There are not a lot of dining options or grocery in walking distance from this place. But it was nice to stay in the neighborhood off of the commercialized landscapes. With some planning, you can have a nice oasis while on your European vacation.
The property was clean and the info provided was very helpful. There were absolutely no issues from start to finish! We met the owners son and he was very friendly and pleasant. Nice stay and would book with Dr. Ruth Dick again

About the host
Hosted by Dr. Ruth Dick
Hi, I'm Ruth I work as a psychlogist and as a homeopathic practitioner and I have been living in the beautiful Pinzgauer Alps since 1973 , in a little village called Gries, 90 kilometers south of Salzburg. Before, I lived in Viena-Austria, Sao Paulo- Brasil ,Chicago- USA and Tel Aviv-Israel.. I have a wonderful 36 year old son who studied Philosophy in Vienna. My hobbies: I adore travelling, photography, gardening, reading, classical music and meeting interesting people . My favorite travel destinations are the far East (so far I have been in China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapure, Indonesia (Bali), Malaysia), Taiwan, Japan, Sri Lanka, Maledive Island; New Zealand , French Polynesia and Samoa; South America (Brasil, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador). I have also been to Central America (so far Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic), Africa (Kenia, Egypt, Marocco, Tunisia), USA, Canada and Europe (Norway, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Poland, CSSR, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Greece etc.) I have been for about 11 years on Airbnb and I love this site. I find it so nice, that every host adds a picture and description of himself, and also that every potential guest adds a photo and tells something about himself. It makes it so familiar. It is so different from all other booking sites. It is the first place where I look for a room or apartment when I travel next. I have been renting holiday apartments in Salzburg for about 20 years and truly enjoy the contact with my guests, although unfortunately I am not always able to meet them personally. In case I can't, I send them instructions how to open the doors with the electronic locks and informations about the apartments, and if I am travelling, or am not in Salzburg there is a neighbor who speaks perfect English, Spanish, Dutch and German and who takes care of my apartments and my guests while I am not there.
Why they chose this property
Quiet residential neighborhood yet close to the historical center, private parking, wifi, very well equipped cosy apartment
