This charming stone cottage dates back to the 1700s, with views over the surrounding North York Moors National Park. Situated in a picture-perfect village, with a range of amenities including a cosy traditional pub.. Ground Floor:

First Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Attachment, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. . Rear garden with patio and garden furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. On-road parking. No smoking. Please note: The garden is tiered.. Built in the distinct local honey coloured sandstone, The Cottage welcomes guests on an authentic charming stay in the heart of North Yorkshire, complete with beamed ceilings, a wood burner in the hearth and a really cosy feel throughout. From the front porch you step into the living room, with the wood burner being the focal point. Moving into the well equipped kitchen you will find a dining table facing the window which offers spectacular views of the open countryside and from where you can enjoy your meals. The back door leads you out onto the patio with outdoor seating for al fresco dining, with steps leading down to the tiered garden. This is a haven for wildlife. Upstairs you have a double as well as a single bedroom, both beautifully presented with superb views across the valley. The bathroom has a bath with a handheld shower over.
Lealholm is a picture-perfect village in the heart of the national park, with a quaint pub around a 10-minute walk away, there is also a couple of welcoming little cafés plus a small village shop. Explore the walking trails which branch out from the village across the surrounding moorland and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The coastal destinations of Whitby, Sandsend Runswick Bay, Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes are just a short drive away, all waiting to be explored. Your dog is sure to have a holiday to remember with lots of walking trails to choose from and most beaches are dog friendly all year round or have dog friendly sections. Take a trip on the historic steam train over the moors, join a local surf school, go sailing at Scaling Dam, visit a local gin distillery or brewery or even zip line through the tree tops in Dalby Forest. For history lovers there is Whitby’s Abbey, Helmsley’s castle and walled garden, or the Folk Museum in Hutton-le-Hole. There are also many museums to visit such as the Staithes Museum, Whitby’s Museum and The Captain Cook Experience. There is so much to see and do, there is sure to be something to delight everyone.
