The Lodge is the former gatehouse to Spital House estate. It is all on one level and is bordered by woods on two sides and a large fully enclosed garden to the rear. There is an abundance of wildlife to see from the cottage and the fields to the rear have sheep, lambs and cows throughout the rear.

This was our second stay here , which speaks for itself. Very comfortable cottage with all you need and more . Lovely surroundings and perfectly situated to get to all the local landmarks. We relax as soon as we settle in .

We stayed here as a couple and it was perfect for a long stay - easy to access, tranquil surroundings (the road is not busy) and comfortable furnishings. The host was friendly and we enjoyed the welcome pack. Apart from very occasional comings and goings of cars along the drive, it feels quite secluded. It is not a modern house but everything worked fine. The garden is spacious with plenty of shade as well as sunny spots. It’s about 15 minutes to get to Berwick, along a pleasantly twisty country road. Unfortunately you do have to drive to get everywhere, but that’s the only negative.

Peaceful relaxing stay at The Lodge.

Loved our stay, everyone very friendly, had a problem with the Loo which was sorted out straight away, lovely welcome pack on arrival.

Excellent Holiday accommodation, very clean and well equipped. Perfectly situated in a beautiful country setting and easy access to Scottish Borders & Northumbrian coast. The host (Liz) is easily contactable for any queries, or issues that may arise. Amazing location in the border areas of Scotland, lovely home, fully equipped with everything you would ever need, and more. Extremely roomy, good wifi, a welcome cake and Shortbread, the grounds are really nice, even has a table and chairs to sit under the trees in, only 10 minutes drive from Berwick, loved it.

We were surprised at how much bigger the lodge is when you’re inside . Very comfortable and everything we needed to enjoy our stay . We found that it was easy to get to all the places we visited. We would definitely return.
