It lies in the Boyne valley midway between the megalithic monuments at Newgrange and Tara, the traditional hall of the Irish High Kings.

Not far from the "Battle of the Boyne" site and interpretative centre. The local pub, Mrs O's, features in the Christmas ad for Guinness. Popular area for country pursuits, hunting, shooting and fishing. Stabling available for visitors with horses. Surrounded by quiet roads. 35 minutes to Dublin and one hour thirty to Belfast.
