About this property
Country Cottage in Loch Lomond and Trossachs
Fabulour rural cottage situated on a family run farm. The large cottage has a large garden surrounding it, During your stay you will also have the option of looking after the Cottage's very own chickens and collecting your own eggs daily. Within easy reach of Loch Lomond & Trossach's National Park, Stirling, Glasgow, Argyllshire and Edinburgh giving plenty to keep guests amused during their break. Dogs welcome.
Positioned in the heart of a Beef, Sheep, Poultry and Pig farm, many of which can be seen on the drive up to our large and spacious 4 bedroom cottage. Suitable for friends looking for a get together or different generations of the one family escaping the daily routine. As well as 4 bedrooms there is a well equipped open plan Kitchen and Dining area leading round to spacious Living Room with wood burning stove for the winter evenings. There is also a lovely Sun room to sit in and enjoy the views of the garden and Campsie Hills. We have 1 batchroom and 1 shower/toilet.
The cottage is surrounded by a large garden and also hosts its own 'chooks' which supply guests daily with free range eggs daily. We offer guests to chance to visit our farm and see some animals up a little closer.
We are more than happy to welcome Dogs but they must be on a lead when outwith the Cottage garden because of the livestock. However we are 10-15 minute walk away from forestry walks.
In the garden we have a seating area as well as a wooden dining table, chairs and BBQ for the good weather.

About the host
Hosted by Host

With amazing views and plenty of space our cottage is the perfect escape and although it feels remote, its really not that far from the hustle and bustle if you want it.
Craigievern is a family run farm with Craig , Jane and their 3 daughters, Kelly, Helen and Shona. Although Kelly now stays elsewhere and Shona is at University they are often back home helping out when needed. Helen works on the farm part time.
We bought the Cottage in November 2017 and have been welcoming guests now since 30th December 2017. We love telling guests about our farm and are more than happy to show them what we are up to. Our guests love driving up road at lambing time, often witnessing a live birth, watching the sheep getting sheared, watching us training our pigs to race or even just looking after the chickens which are resident in the cottage gardens.
