We had a lovely week. The house is spacious and equipped well for a large group. The house and outside are a bit tired and could do with some TLC and the area is a bit run down but we had a lovely quiet time with beautiful views.beautifviews
Perfect house for myself and 9 friends for a long weekend away. Easy check in and check out. Great host. House is spacious and kitted out with everything you need. Would recommend!
Very comfortable and well appointed rooms.Excellent facilities for all the family spotlessly clean.
Location excellent close to restaurant and bar, Arrochar is a lovely area.
We had an amazing stay and are so grateful to Fiona and Ali for sharing this incredible property with us! We were six adults and six children ages six to 15 and had plenty of room to spread out, share laughter and meals, and just make memories together. Two different nights we walked next door to the Village Inn for great dinners, and every day we explored the area, from Fort William to Glen Coe and the close-by Inveraray Castle. The last night of our stay was during a rare heat wave which made the second floor where most of us slept pretty hot and stifling with no air. We couldn't open any windows for fear of letting in the very pesky, itchy midges, but everyone agreed it was worth it to stay in such a magical home full of so much character. We loved the decor and artwork, the number of bathrooms, the activities available, the ability to do laundry (and even play piano!), and the owner's helpful guide and responsiveness. It was a truly happy stay!
The house was in a lovely location, very peaceful and spacious. As the website points out, it is an old Victorian house, quirky but functionsed well for our family, and warm without the need to light the stove. We loved the dining room table complete with candles
Luv’d it, the house was everything and more than we all wished for. The house clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Our only regret was we didn’t book for a longer stay . We would definitely go back and would recommend staying here to anyone.

An unforgettable family time in Arrochar
We spent a wonderful week in family at Mansefield House. The région of the Loch Lomond is magnificent and offer a lot of various activities : hiking, canoë, visits, ...
The house is very welcoming, confortable and well equipped for large family, with a pleasant outdoor environment.
A really great stay, thank you very much to our hosts !
The house was so wonderful it’s hard to describe. We had three adults and four teens. We had plenty of sleeping spaces and family spaces. The kitchen was a dream with everything we needed to prepare several meals. The location was beautiful. We were so happy to spend a few days here enjoying the house and the area.

Good location, however few problems. Cooker broken, oven door wouldn’t stay shut! No hand towels even after requestedLate check in 4pm and had to leave by 10am! Which was very early
Beautiful property in an ideal location for all the surrounding walks.
Felt like home as soon as we stepped inside. Lots of space and extremely well equipped. Luxurious toiletries were an added bonus.
Would recommend and would definitely go back but for longer the next time.
Fiona was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions.
I had a great weekend. The house was more rustic than what the pictures convey but the house was charming. I felt like i was in the middle of nowhere. Views were beautiful even with the lashing down rain. The wood burner in the living room was perfect to create an atmosphere. The house had everything we needed for a weekend. I did have to contact the owners to check a couple of things and they were great and communicated quickly and resolved all matters. The house could do with a freshen up, possible re-paint and fix of wallpaper in areas but other than that it was a fabulous house.

Living the dream!
Went to Mansfield House with family to celebrate 60th birthday. House is beautiful and very spacious so you are not all on top of each other. We had an extremely relaxing time. Fiona made us feel most welcome. It is an ideal location for walking, visiting local attractions and enjoying the Village Inn pub next door which is excellent. Would heartily recommend Mansfield House. Hope to be able to return!
We stayed for just 2 nights and contemplated leaving after the first night. The condition of the home was deplorable. There was mold in all of the bathrooms, on the walls of the bedrooms along with dead insects in the kitchen and along all windowsills. The home smells damp and musty. Surfaces were covered in dust and hair which has been building up for months on end. Our kids would be covered in hair and dirt if they sat on the carpets to play a game. Dishes were stacked on top of dirty dishes in the cupboard covered in food. Extra linens were not provided. The outdoor areas were overgrown and we were unable to enjoy them. Overall it was a terrible stay other than the location, would not recommend.

Thought there might have been contact from the owners prior to our stay. Lovely old house but disappointed that we needed to wash all the crockery/cutlery before using as residue left on from previous use in dishwasher (?) Only one tea towel provided .. more would have been handy and there was no kitchen towel. Otherwise it was fine.

Beautiful location
The location is absolutely beautiful the gardens for the house are just lovely too, the house was at first glance everything we had hoped. On our first night we found a bat in one of the bedrooms, not a problem, my son contacted the property owner and she advised us what to do, bat was released later that evening. After a few days we noticed a lot of bees/wasps in the dining room and in the bat bedroom, as this was where 2 of my grandchildren were sleeping we moved them out of there and had them sleeping with parents. There seems to be a nest in one of the chimneys as you could see them from outside flying around the chimney. We told property owner Fiona, on our second to last night of our stay when she popped her head over the gate. We all still had a good time but the bee/wasp thing needs to be sorted out.
We went for a catch up with friends and had a lovely break, the property has everything you would need and more and is very spacious. The village inn next door was perfect for not cooking and had a couple of meals here, the views are amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the area, would highly recommend
A spacious and well kitted out property in an amazing location. As keen swimmers we liked having Loch Long on our doorstep and also Loch Lommond a half hour, scenic walk away. The kitchen is well equipped to cook for a big crowd. Our meal at at the Village Inn right next door was lovely and we went back for drinks a few times. All nine of us loved it and would recommend Mansefield House for a great weekend away.
We all loved our stay in Mansefield House and plan to visit again soon. Lots of space for all the family. Super comfy beds. Beautiful location overlooking the loch. Stunning house.
