Crossing the rope bridge takes you back to magical childhood dreams and forward into a grown-up tree-house retreat. A spacious open-plan interior sweeps around a mature oak tree, while everything is conveniently held within the circular room.

The generous sun-deck offers privacy and peace with comfortable patio furniture, and a gas BBQ. Relax in the roll top bath with dappled sunlight glistening through the branches and enjoy al fresco meals with views across 40 acres of private farmland and unspoiled woodland.

The estate is yours to discover with open fields and woodland to explore. There is a good network of public footpaths passing and leading beyond the farm. Bensfield Treehouse offers a quiet and romantic setting - a perfect tonic from a busy world.

East Sussex is filled with a variety of pretty villages with plenty of good pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Nearby Wadhurst and Royal Tunbridge Wells are home to cafes, art galleries, independent shops and live music. While, if you are looking for a special piece of jewellery, the Queen’s jeweller can be found in Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Booked this as a little retreat as even though we’re local to the area we wanted to escape for a little bit and it was truly perfect! We loved the rope bridge and the fact that the tree actually grows through the house! Everything was clean and high quality. The welcome basket was really generous and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking various meals. It’s the most equipped treehouse we’ve been to. The outside BBQ and terrace outside were lovely, and the bath was a real touch. The only thing I’d love to see is some form of fire pit for if we were going to come back in the autumn/winter as that’d be a lovely way to spend time outside but appreciate the risks with that! Great stay, will defo be back!
