Living
The charming living area provides a snug place to congregate and relax, with underfloor heating, plush sofas, and cosy armchairs for maximum comfort. The rustic-modern interior has attractive beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls that have been softened with neutral shades and coastal accents. In the evenings, unwind in front of the wood burning stove, housed inside the original fireplace with a magnificent antique mantle. For film enthusiasts, cosy up in blankets with the Smart TV and a hot chocolate or cocktail or two! A custom bar area next to the living room, complete with sumptuous seating and a seductive wine fridge, beckons pre-dinner tipples. This room celebrates outstanding historic elements and is symmetrically arranged with the main living area to create the ideal setting for savouring a glass of something special.
Alternatively, enjoy your favourite playlist or podcast, with Sonos speakers located across the retreat.

Eating and Dining
The lustrous, airy kitchen is filled with natural light, understated colour cues, and spaciousness to create a totally enchanting space. A kitchen island, sitting at the centre, with an integrated sink, a lounging bench, and plenty of workspace is ideal for social gatherings, and the alcove table and benches can easily accommodate up to six people to enjoy scrumptious family meals. With the comprehensive set of appliances and accessories, you can prepare delicious warming dishes throughout the day and the Hotel Chocolat Podster and Velvetiser, are sure to seduce all generations for luscious cups of heaven! Additionally, there is a TV in the kitchen where you can catch up on your favourite series or just shut the world out for a while. Warming underfloor heating, delightful statement lighting and illuminating floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, make this the perfect place for an all year-round escape for the entire family.

Sleeping
Choose from three gorgeous bedrooms, each with award winning Hypnos mattresses and their own ensuite.
The master bedroom is a sizable, airy space with soft coastal touches, reminiscent of sandy shores. Lovingly selected furnishings, bedside tables, a dressing table, and a chair are thoughtfully placed around a super king (or twin) bed adorned in cloud-soft linens and wrapped with heavenly throws for blissful lie-ins. It's a delightful place to begin and end each day and gaze at the framed window views overlooking the stunning grounds, meandering stream and the wildlife beyond. The magnificent ensuite, with earthy tones and polished stone, featuring an Albion Torre duo bath and a sizable walk-in double shower, radiates luxury and provides an at-home spa experience.

The lovely personality and distinctive design of this boutique homestay are reflected in the second bedroom, which boasts a vaulted ceiling and an exposed feature wall as well as an open setting. The bedroom's rustic aspects are served alongside attractive touches and exquisite furnishings for a space that is all about comfort. It boasts a super-king bed that can be split into twins and is draped in luxurious linens, as well as a sumptuous two-seater sofa. Look out of low-set windows over the countryside and sandy dunes or up through an elegant skylight framing the clear stary skies of the Gower. A separate ensuite bathroom with glistening white tiles and a shower awaits to prepare you for adventures across the Gower.

The open third bedroom's design, has no door but features a vaulted ceiling, exposed stone, and soft, neutral colours, is in keeping with the mill’s traditional charm. Only peaceful slumbers await with our award winning zip and link super king-sized beds that can be split into twins on request, a cosy chair, and thoughtful contemporary touches. Luxurious bedding and throws offer dreamlike layers of comfort for heavenly sleep, while feature windows frame the space and allow light to flood the spacious room when the blinds are open. Rejuvenate with a refreshing shower in the ensuite bathroom before cuddling up and gazing at the star lit sky overhead. Each ensuite bathroom comes complete with a heated towel rail to ensure towels remain warm and fluffy.

Heading outdoors
The seaside's salty air beckons you outside to a magnificent garden that backs onto meadows and dunes. A six-person dining table and chairs, as well as two benches and small seating areas, have been thoughtfully placed throughout the semi-tiered garden and are ideal for summertime outdoor activities. The symphony of songbirds, the sound of running water from the adjacent meandering mountain stream, and the far-off sigh of waves serve as a captivating soundtrack for mindful relaxation. It’s the perfect setting for fun and laughter with family and friends or a breath-taking escape into nature for peaceful contemplation throughout the day.

Parking
There is ample on-site parking on a large private driveway in front of the retreat’s stables, which can house up to four cars.
Families
The retreat is ideal for families. A travel cot and stairgate can be provided for babies and children on request.

Dogs
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome. We apply an extra charge per dog per week or short break to cover cleaning. This is an additional charge to the booking amount and can be paid by bank transfer direct to the property owners.

Lower Mill, Llangennith, SWANSEA, SA3 1HU

• Exit the M4 at junction 47
• Take the second exit off the roundabout and follow the A483
• Follow for one mile and take the second exit off the next roundabout onto the A484
• Follow for a further mile and take the second exit off the next roundabout
• Follow for ¾ mile and take the first exit off the next roundabout onto the B4296
• Follow for ½ mile. You will need to pass under a low railway bridge (max height 3.3m).
Turn right at the next lights in Gowerton onto the B4295
• Follow the B4295 for approximately 14 miles until you reach Llangennith
Drive carefully through the village and watch out for roaming sheep, horses and occasionally cows.
• Pass the Kings Head pub on your right and turn left at the mini roundabout
• Follow the road for 1/4 mile. Lower Mill is on your left hand side.

2. If travelling by train:

The nearest main line station is Swansea. You can get a connecting train to Gowerton.

We suggest either a taxi to Llangennith or the Bus to Llangennith from Swansea or Gowerton. Directions by bus from Swansea station and Gowerton are below.

Gower explorer buses run from Swansea’s main bus station at Quadrant Centre (0870 608 2608 for bus timetables). Services 116 & 118 go to Llangennith. The 116 Service can also be picked up in Hill Street, Gowerton. You may need to change to the 115 Service at Llanrhidian. Get off the bus at the mini-roundabout in Llangennith. Take the left hand turn at the mini-roundabout and walk 1/4 mile to Lower Mill, which is on your left hand side.
