About this property
Port Eynon Beach Cottage - short walk to Port Eynon beach and village amenities
Situated just 150m from Port Eynon’s Blue Flag beach, 4* rated (Visit Wales) Port Eynon Cottage is perfect for a beach holiday or as a base to explore everything the Gower Peninsular has to offer.
The cottage can accommodate 6 adults and 2 children.
The first floor can accommodate 6 based on one master bedroom with king-sized bed and ensuite, a double room and one twin room (2’6” wide beds, adults also welcome!) that share a family bathroom. A further double bedroom with ensuite is conveniently located on the ground floor.
Private parking is available for 2 vehicles.
The entrance (with access to a downstairs WC) leads into the dining room with a large table - perfect for dining and board games - leading into a fully equipped kitchen that includes an induction hob, microwave, full-sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, washer dryer and additional dining table and chairs.
The lounge is a well-proportioned space and benefits from a smart TV, relaxing sofa’s, a log burner, and the cottage’s original front door which provides access to a small outdoor seating area and a gate which makes the walk to the beach even shorter!
Accessed from the driveway, the main garden is grassed with a paved seating area and is fully enclosed for those who don’t leave home without the dog (subject to prior arrangement when booking and a small surcharge, pets are welcome provided they stay downstairs)!
Port Eynon’s village amenities are within 100 meters of the cottage and include The Ship Inn and Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen which open all year round, whilst The Beach House Surf & Coffee Shop, two fish and chip shops and a gift shop open seasonally.
Port Eynon and Horton beaches are flanked by undulating sand dunes. To the west is the popular walk to the Salt House ruins and over the cliff from there – for the more adventurous – is Culver Hole, a 13th century Dovecote and Smugglers’ Cave. The beaches can also be your gateway to the Gower and Wales Coastal path which can take you to Oxwich if you head east and Rhossili if you head west.
For those wishing to explore all the Gower Peninsular has to offer there are castles, golf courses, nature reserves, outdoor pursuits, and a wide choice of food destinations with The Mumbles and its gift shops, seafront promenade, Ferris Wheel (seasonal) and eateries offering something for everyone all year round.
The cottage is let on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis during school holidays, whilst stays of a shorter duration are welcomed outside these dates.

About the host
Hosted by Debbie John

One of us is originally from the Gower and the other is a convert! We enjoy being able to offer fantastic accommodation for others to explore everything this great place has to offer.
Why they chose this property
The Gower Peninsular has something for everyone all year round and that diversity is packed into a relatively small - and sparsely populated - area. This makes everything accessible without long car journeys and often there's no need for the car at all once you arrive at the accommodation we offer.
What makes this property unique
A family-run holiday cottage with everything we believe is essential for the best possible break that is (you will see) just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach.
It is maintained and presented to a standard that we are delighted to see generate repeat visits.
