About this property

Villa for large families, Finnish Sauna, pool, free internet, 5 min to beach

If you like being in nature and also like to have all mod cons, you happen to like travelling with your large family or friends then this private villa located in a large garden is for you. The large outdoor pool will satisfy any serious swimmer and the indoors Finnish Sauna is wonderful for cold winter days and evenings. The house was built on an old traditional Cypriot stone house belonging to family. My parents were keen to keep some of the authentic features such as the classic stone arch which stands in the middle of the living room. The villa has a separate apartment with it's own entrance for those who like their own space. Both have fireplaces in the living rooms. All bedrooms have airconditioning. We are in the centre of the village within a few minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants, despite this you will find total peace within the grounds of the property. It is only a five minute drive to the picturesque village Bellapais which is just above Ozankoy. Girne/Kyrenia is five km away and the nearest beach is only just down the road.

Great location

We had a great time at this Villa A 5 minute walk into the village to the shop or the bars/restaurants, we ate out every night, we did hire cars to visit other places but it is not necessary, there is a bus stop in the village to take you into Girne. the villa is very well equipped with everything you could need The swimming pool was a great hit and can be lit at night, also some great outdoor lighting under a covered gazebo Great contact from one of the owners who I believe lives near by We hope to stay here again

The pros Air conditioning was really good The pool was fantastic Kitchen was well equipped Deborah was really responsive and helpful Nice to be able to walk to the Indian and local restaurant. The cons The house is a little tired and needs updating There was no outdoor eating seating space for eight people The area around the house is very rundown We ended our stay with a disagreement of who should pay for some breakages. We accept responsibility when a breakage is an accident or negligence on our part but not when it is due to age and weathering.

Perfect for what we wanted

We stayed at the Villa so that we could have a base near our family who live just up the road. The villa is spacious characterful and homely and very well equipped. Good air con in rooms. The pool was clean and well serviced. Extensive gardens with many different fruit trees and other produce that you can pick yourself if you wish. Cool balconies provide respite from the heat with beautiful views of the sunset over the sea and mountains. Great communication wth the owner Deborah.

Apartment in Ozankoy

We just spent a great week in this property. It was spacious and comfortable and surrounded by lovely fruit trees. The pool and surrounding terrace were really great, the water was perfect and it was big enough to swim properly. The location In the village was good- only150 m from the village centre with a mini market and several small bars/ restaurants. The only problem for us was that we didn’t have a car and found getting around by public transport more difficult than anticipated- great when the dolmuses came, but they were somewhat erratic. Lots to see and do in the area, great balcony for sundowners, easy to communicate with Deborah and the apartment was well equipped- we mainly cooked in and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Lovely spot to have a good rest. Would definitely like to come back. Thank you Deborah for a great trip! Sarah and Chris

Nice garden apartment with a private pool

We had a great stay here, enjoyed the privacy of the apartment and especially the pool. The garden is amazing with all the fruit trees, we made lemonade and used the hot chillies in cooking. Communication with Deborah was excellent at all times. I can highly recommend Deborah's place.

Fantastic property, lovely village location

As a family of 4, including 2 teenagers, the property was well equipped, incredibly clean, and is perfectly located for stunning mountain and harbour views. It is very spacious with a great sized swimming pool and outside seating area with ample seats, sunbeds, side table, umbrella etc. The only comment I would make is be sure you are all able to climb stairs as accessing the pool and outside area is up/down two flights of stairs. Not a problem for us tho... Deborah is a great host with excellent comms before the trip and was on hand for any questions I had during the stay. It is located very close to numerous bars and restaurants all of which were amazing. We would highly recommend grabbing a rooftop drink at Bar33 with Eddie & Sandra, and also take a meal and drinks at the Stone Cavern with Caz, Andy and the team... The food is amazing! We could go on and on recommending but also give Erol's, Happy Garden, Rafters a try for food... All amazing! Had an amazing time, gorgeous property, stunning location, lovely locals. We will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely stay at this villa. The pool area was superb, with areas of good shade as well as sunshine. The house itself was simply equipped, but was more than adequate for a week’s holiday. The local people, including the neighbours adjacent to the property, were extremely friendly and helpful. The shower could perhaps do with an upgrade (a pump would help), but for the price, you’d do well to find anywhere better than this.

Lovely secure feeling apartment with ample room for four adults both inside and to the secure & private lovely pool area & terrace. Fabulous views from the balcony over the bay of Kyrenia at day & also with the night lights. Highly recommended for lovers of walking although very close to bus route to coast road or Kyrenia route. Small but good quality choice of eating out in Ozankoy and 2 small mini markets also within 5 minutes walking distance. Deborah was very kind in her advice where needed & also generous in check out flexibility where possible, thank you!

A holiday in the sun

We absolutely loved our stay at Deborah's apartment. We were a 2 minute walk from the centre of the village of Ozankoy which has a couple of shops and some restaurants. We found the apartment a really quiet place to rest and relax. The garden was beautiful with masses of fruit trees. The pool and the surrounding area was a delight.

Lovely apartment with fantastic swimming pool.

As soon as we arrived we felt very much at home here, the apartment has a lovely homely feel. It is very well equipped, very spacious and comfortable. The balcony has fantastic views all round and it was lovely to sit here for breakfast and in the evenings. We used the barbecue several times and ate dinner beside the pool which was great. The pool is huge and so wonderful to have it to ourselves. There are sun beds at the poolside and we spent many hours here; it was so relaxing. We hired a car for the two weeks we were here and for us this was essential as we were able to do lots of exploring. We ate out many times and enjoyed the local restaurants. There are several good restaurants in easy walking distance. We found the food excellent every time and the restaurants great value for money. Our favourite restaurant was ‘Rafters’ and we also enjoyed popping into ‘Bar 33’ at the bottom of the hill for a quick drink. Thank you Deborah for letting us stay in your lovely home, it was a great experience.

Great villa, Fantastic pool and wonderful location.

Deborah’s villa was immaculately clean. Deborah is extremely helpful and friendly and is on hand if you need her, she provided a welcome package of tea, coffee, water, milk and wine. A personal hotspot is provided for internet, we just bought a data package from the Telsim shop on the coast road but you can buy data by phone. There are lots of DVDs if you wanted to watch a film but we were always outside.The beds were comfortable and the AC worked really well. The balcony has wonderful views of the sea and mountains, a lovely place to sit in the mornings and evenings. The pool is large and secluded, it’s cleaned twice a week. The sun beds are comfortable and decent pool towels are provided. The kitchen has everything you could need if you choose to eat in but the villa is in a superb location and a well stocked local supermarket, restaurants and bars are within a short walking distance. The Stone Cavern, Erols and Rafters being our favourite restaurants, all serve amazingly good food. Most of the bars/restaurants have live music on different nights of the week and there is a fantastic guitarist/singer Hasan Gunyuz at the Corner House on Fridays... definitely worth a visit! We hired a car but with everything on the doorstep you wouldn’t need to unless you want to explore further afield. The village is safe and the locals are friendly. We will definitely book this villa again, especially as it is such a reasonable price.

Noord Cyprus heeft ons hart gestolen, voor de vijfde keer onze stek in de meivakantie, dit jaar naar het Cypriotische huis van Deborah. Iedere avond genoten van het prachtige uitzicht. Huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijke matrassen, keuken met alle apparatuur, enorme woonruimte, koel bij ruim 30 graden buitentemperatuur, airco aanwezig echter niet nodig. Ozankoy is mooi authentiek dorp. Grote supermarkten dichtbij met auto, in het dorp voldoende voorzieningen. Sinaasappels, citroenen, mandarijnen,moerbeien, artisjokken, kappertjes, amandelen uit eigen tuin. Zelf koken en eten bij het prachtige uitzicht. We hebben genoten en komen volgend jaar zeker weer terug. Prijs kwaliteit goed. Auto is aan te raden om naar diverse stranden, bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken. Benzine 1 euro per liter. Kyrenia binnen 10 minuten naar de grote parkeerplaats bij de haven. Lapta strand 30 minuten over provinciale weg. Wifi is te koop via Telsim. Geen TV, wel DVD. Tip! neem eigen muziek of films mee.

A lovely, private property

Deborah's apartment has everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Large kitchen and sitting room, a nice balcony for sunsets, comfortable beds. The outside is charming - a wonderful garden with fruit and flowers. The icing on the cake is the large, private pool - good not only for swimming but eating next to in the evening.

Lovely house in a quiet location stunning views

We have been coming back to this house for 2 years now as it's in a small village location with everything we need including a massive pool set in a lovely garden with a fruit orchard which includes lemons limes pomegranates date tree and herbs which you can pick,the owner is so friendly and helpful and is always on hand should you need help ,the house has got everything you need for self catering ,we love it so much we have booked again for next year

Such a perfect location, perfect villa, fantastic host and HIGHLY recommend this property.

The property is just perfect. You have a private CLEAN pool. Sea AND mluntain views. Everything you need there and air con. For me this was the most relaxed holiday. The area is perfect if you don't want in your face holiday. A car is handy but not essential as the village has everything including fab bars and restauraunts.

Wonderful place, lovely owner

The flat is lovely and spacious, with a lovely view from the terrace over the garden, which we enjoyed fully - we ate courgettes and aubergines and tomatoes and some fruits that were in season. The pool is gorgeous, perfect for a family with small kids. We swam and had lunch by the pool every day in October. Deborah was a lovely host, provided a nice welcome (tea and wine set out in the kitchen) and was so thoughtful, she even brought extra toys for our small children! We highly recommend this place and this host and would happily return. Thank you for everything!

Been & stayed in Ozankoy several times, in different villas, done all the sight seeing we need to do, much needed time out to relax & Deborahs apartment fits that bill. Apartment all & more than required. Location great full sea views off balcony(ideal for a cooling G&T before heading out)Poolside fabulous, massive pool, lovely 'pagoda' for shade or lunch. Great vegetable garden, which you can help yourself to( do try the tomatoes) & Deborah, a great & attentive host, if needed. Close to all shops /bars/restaurants etc, will need car for beach or trips to markets or Girne, taxis are cheap though Already booked for next year

My Father who was originally from this village decided to move back to Cyprus. In 1973 we moved to Cyprus from the UK . My sister and I grew up here in this house. Due to the high demand for holiday properties in our area we decided to renovate the house and apartment above the main house for holiday lets. There was an old stone house on these grounds which was owned by my father's much loved aunty who brought him up as she had no children of her own. My parents started to build our house on the remains of the old stone house in 1973. My sister and I grew up in this house. My parents started building in 1973 and by 1974 the first part of the house was ready for habitation. During the 1974 peace operation in July; relatives would come and find security amongs the thick stone walls. The villa sits in a lemon and orange orchard. Due to it's old charming character we decided to offer our property for rental to holiday makers who would like to have a true Cypriot experience.

The property is in the centre of the village within 3 minutes walk to shops and restaurants. Parking is permitted where there is space. Including in the garden or in front of the gate. There is a minibus every 15 minutes doing a round trip to Girne just 3 minutes walk down the road. Villa which also has a separate apartment located on half of the second floor. Maximum capacity 8 people in the main house and 4 in the apartment. Both units can be booked at the same time for large families or friends who like to holiday together. The apartment has a separate entrance. The wood burning Sauna is located in the main house. We have a very large pool terrace where you can enjoy the stunning mountain view, a shaded dining area a BBQ area which is adjacent to the terrace. The skimmer pool is so large that it would please any serious swimmers. The capacity 8 people in the main house and 4 in the apartment. All bedrooms have airconditioning units. Both units have fireplaces. Our property is located within a 3 minute walk to the nearest shops and restaurants/bars and the minibus which takes you to Kyrenia, a 5 minute drive to beaches, a 10 minute drive to the historical town of Girne (Kyrenia) and only a 5 minute drive to the picturesque village of Bellapais which is right above Ozankoy. Child/baby cot available. You may pick your own lemons from the many trees and help yourself to what is growing in the garden.
