I am so unbelievably disgusted and disappointed with this booking. Myself and three friends travelled to Birmingham for what was supposed to be a lovely reunion weekend. We paid in full for the accommodation weeks in advance but received zero communication from the host re check in. We were left stranded outside the apartment for the two hours following the check in time of 4pm. We contacted Expedia and Vrbo who were unable to contact the host or help us. All they could offer us was a refund within 7 days. We ended up having to search for alternative accommodation and ended up booking a more expensive hotel room and consequently missed our dinner reservation. What was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable weekend ended up being stressful, disappointing and actually ruined our time away. We have not received any explanation or apology.
