About this property
Fisherman's Cottage, pet friendly - Lower Mill Estate, Cotswold Water Park
One of a row of terraced cottages on the Lower Mill Estate, Fisherman's Cottage is in a honeypot location in the centre of Cotswold Water Park. With something for everybody you can take advantage of the on-site facilities, travel further afield to explore Cirencester, Stroud, and Burford, or simply stay in and relax.
The main feature of the accommodation at Fisherman's Cottage is hidden until you step inside. Through the open-plan living area, you can enjoy views out across Somerford Lagoon and step onto the decking to take a seat and drink it all in. In the evening curl up in front of the wood burner and enjoy cooking a meal in the kitchen, which has everything you could need for your stay. With a dining table comfortably seating your whole group, and space to dine outside, you can enjoy time together without the distractions of normal everyday life. Upstairs are three bedrooms, including a bunk room, and there are two bathrooms and a ground-floor WC to reduce queues in the morning so you can get out the door to your adventures quicker.
Outside is a raised deck with steps taking you down to the lake edge. It is a breath-taking location with views of the local wildlife and beautiful sunsets. You will never tire of sitting here enjoying the sights. During the summer you can take to the water and enjoy everything that the Lower Mill Estate has to offer. Bring your own or hire bikes to cycle around the nature reserve or for a longer adventure through the picturesque villages nearby. Hire paddle boards, a rowing boat, or try out a new way of taking to the water on a katakanu which you can also take on a sunset safari on the lagoon. Children will love the play parks, soft play and activity trails on the nature reserve, and adults can relax with a yoga session. There really is no need to leave the estate.

Entrance Hall:
Arriving at Fisherman's Cottage you first step into the entrance hall. From here you can catch a glimpse of the lake through the windows at the far end of the house and already start to plan your activities. From the entrance hall there is a WC and a staircase up to the bedrooms.
Living/Dining Room:
Walking onwards, the open-plan living/dining room with a wooden floor and plenty of windows is a sunny spot to welcome you to your holiday. The dining table seats six and is perfect for enjoying family board games as well as meals. There are two leather sofas in front of the wood burner set within a stone surround and a selection of DVDs and books to keep you entertained if rainy weather hits. Patio doors open out to the raised decking, and you can enjoy the lake view throughout this room.
Kitchen:
With cream units and a wooden floor, the kitchen looks across to neighbouring holiday homes. It has everything you need for your stay with a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and a dishwasher alongside other smaller appliances.
First Floor
Bedroom One:
To the left of the stairs is the first king-size double. Set at the front of the cottage this room has been furnished with a wooden bed, bedside table and lamp, and a chest of drawers.
Bathroom/Shower Room:
Between bedrooms one and two is the family bathroom. Reminiscent of seaside holidays it has blue tiles and wooden units, in keeping with this cottage's lakeside location. There is a rainfall shower over the bath, a sink and WC.
Bedroom Two:
Perfect for the children in the family, this room has two bunk beds providing flexibility for sleeping arrangements. It looks out over the lake to spark the imagination and let them dream of tomorrow's adventures.
Bedroom Three:
The final bedroom is a king-size double with an en-suite bathroom. With a wooden bed, two bedside tables and lamps and built-in storage there is space here to hide the suitcases away. With a lake view it is a peaceful room where you can relax.
En-Suite:
Decorated in the same style as the family bathroom, the en-suite has a bath with a rainfall shower above, a sink and WC. It provides a bit of private space away from the family to enjoy a bubble bath in peace.
Outside
The location of this cottage is its main feature with fabulous lake views from the south-facing decking. You'll find yourselves spending most of your time out here either talking together over a BBQ meal, or simply enjoying the tranquillity with a good book and your favourite drink. Spot the ducks, coots, and herons on the lake while you soak up the sun in this idyllic setting.
