My wife and I spent a week with two brothers and a sister-in-law so five adults. We had plenty of room, description of cabin was spot on. Great view of lake so relaxing to sit there. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens, towels, gas grill. It was an amazing week. We would return again if ever in the area.

Im so glad you enjoyed yourselves! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
One of the best trips of our summer at this home! Having the water and dock right out the back door is priceless. The home was well stocked, clean, cozy beds, and amazing outdoor space. Easy walking distance to the lodge and all of their amenities.
Everything is as described, the lake was wonderful and you can see different birds flying to the lake. The property manager was very responsive and answered all our questions. One thing I missed is that the cabin has no wifi, but it was something I assumed it had. Overall this place is a 5/5.
Everything was absolutely WONDERFUL! We used this as a base for our Yellowstone and Grand Teton adventure and are SO happy we did. The cabin looked like something from a storybook and was situated on a beautiful lake. It was far enough from the tourist mecca's to allow for pure relaxation while still allowing one to feel immersed in nature. Owner was very kind and responsive and owner's family members who were close were very kind and helpful. Do NOT pass this place up if you have the chance!
This cabin was truly a hidden gem. The only reason i say hidden is due to the overwhelming amount of options you have when looking in this area. If you are a prospective renter who found this review i couldn't recommend a better location. If you are looking for a memorable and fantastic cabin experience there a few others i can imagine being better than this one here!

Beautiful Lake Retreat
Our family used this very nice lakeside cabin as a headquarters to tour Yellowstone National Park and the Island Park area. The cabin is very comfortable with plenty of room for our family of six adults. The kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes / utensils you need for basic cooking. There is also a gas grill which was very handy. The beautiful wooded setting is great for early morning walks while the family catches a few more winks! We would absolutely stay here again.

This is a beautiful property, that is nicely outfitted with a stunning view.
We stayed here for the eclipse. McKell was great to work with, especially during such a high-demand time. The cabin is located right on the water and has two separate docks. The cabin also has plenty of deck space, beds and two full baths. There is a lodge just around the corner with food and supplies and ATV/hiking trails are within walking distance. Just can't say enough good things about this location and the owners.

About the host

Our family history here’s goes back to 1953. My parents who had four young children were searching for a family summer business. They purchased Lakeside Lodge and surrounding land with the goal of building a place for families to enjoy. In the off seasons my dad taught high school English. In the summers they built up the Lakeside business, adding a campground, trailer court, rental cabins, boat docks, restaurant, etc. Our parents eventually sold Lakeside in the sixties, with the idea that they would somebody build a little cabin in the water for their retirement. Life had other plans, as our dad passed away in 1970, leaving our mother with a large family to raise. This area is sentimental and so special to us, and we continued to come here whenever we could manage, growing up. In time as grown adults, we have returned here and purchased our own places. We love it so much! I own this place with two of my sisters. We don’t rent it out often, but we do love to share the magic with others when we can!
