The Lake House - a meadow lodge that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

The Lake House is situated on the Meadows, a beautiful location with south-facing deck onto one of the lakes with ducks and other wildlife.

Enter through the side door into the hallway. To the left is the living space, with corner kitchen with all the appliances you'll need. There's a dining table for 4 and the living area has a long sofa, armchair, coffee table, smart TV, with bifold doors.

The large bifold doors open onto the enclosed deck with seating, ideal for watching the local wildlife or relaxing with a drink.

Down the hallway, there are two bedrooms with double beds, smart TVs and ensuite wet or shower rooms.

The lodge benefits from its own parking bay and free WiFi. Additional and plentiful parking is nearby (30 second walk).

We allow 1 well-behaved dog.

This property has a path to the entrance door which makes it accessible for those with mobility issues. However, please note we do not have grab rails in the bathrooms (please see photos.)

Please note: This property has a bio-ethanol fire but for fire safety, we do not provide bio-ethanol, and if you do buy your own, you must not store it within the property.

Relaxing break.

We had a lovely few days stay at this property. Located on the edge of a lake, with lovely views over the water. The lodge is ideal for walks to the beach, or to explore the local area.

Second time we have stayed at The Lake House, lovely setting being greeted by the ducks every morning is great. Very relaxing setting and the lodge has everything you need, a home from home. 100% recommend this property can't wait to visit again this year.

Relaxing weekend away

We were looking for a weekend away , having stayed at the bay many times before, we thought we’d try one of the new lodges , the lake house didn’t disappoint. The lodge was very clean & cosy and well equipped, with lovely tasteful decor throughout, very relaxing looking over the lake , definitely would book the lake house again, highly recommend.

A lovely lakeside lodge

We had a lovely stay at the lakeside lodge, it was so comfortable and well equipped, a super outlook over the lake and daily visits from the ducks. Absolutely perfect!

A repeat visit, and will return again

We have been to The Lake House a few times now and have enjoyed our stay each time. The lodge is in such a nice area of the site, on the water, and the view is always lovely. It’s always peaceful too.

Fourth Visit

Enjoyed our fourth visit to the Bay, this is the third different Filey Bay Direct property we have stayed in (sometimes we travel with my daughter, partner and grandchildren and other times with my elderly parents) and I can recommend all four. The properties are expertly managed by Paula, who provides excellent information and is accommodating to the specific needs of our guests.

Right side of the pond

The place was lovely very comfortable clean and tidy and the balcony over the water was lovely and birds were very entertaining our Little dog was fascinated by them and spent most of the time watching them but it was also lovely and relaxing for us we were blessed with good weather so a glass of wine watching them and the world go by was was extremely relaxing and the sun was over us the best part of the day. While others were in the shade we will come back.

Xmas break

The lodge was better than I expected. Was immaculate and clean. Every appliance was top notch. The welcome bag was a lovley surprise. And everything was easy to use. I will Definatley stay again

Beautiful lodge

The Lodge is beautiful overlooking the lake and great that it is dog friendly -our old westie loved it there . Over the years we have stayed in many different accommodations on The Bay but I think this one is our favourite it’s very clean and modern with everything you need ,the only thing was the log burner is just for display which is a shame as the weather wasn’t very kind to us later in the week but nether the less the heating is brilliant in the lodge so wasn’t a problem . I would highly recommend The Lake House , location is great for lovely beach walks too .

Thanks for the comments, really pleased you had a great stay. Regarding the fire/burner, it does work however the annual Fire Assessment deems it a fire hazard, as such I don’t provide the fuel it needs which was a decision made reluctantly as like you there is nothing better than the fire after a walk on the beach. Stunning lakeside lodge

As an owner at The Bay Filey, I already love the place, but needed to move out of ours whilst having work done. Paula kindly organised for us to stay at the wonderful Lake House. Although the holiday village is very familar to us, the lodge was a real change of scene... we immediately felt on holiday. Would definitely book again. Thank you so much for a very memorable, well-organised break.

October stay at The Bay - Lakeside

We have stayed at a few different accommodations at The Bay. First time at Lakeside. Really enjoyed looking over the water - including when the other cottages were lit up at night. Had all the things that we would need, including pots/pans etc. Beds very comfortable and showers were good and plenty of hot water. Nice to have its own parking space at the side of the property too. It was a peaceful setting, and we even got to enjoy sitting in the sunshine on the decking, overlooking the lake. Very relaxing week.

THE LAKE HOUSE LOVELY HOLIDAY RETREAT

We had a lovely week, the position of the lodge is fabulous overlooking the small lake, ducks knocking on our decking for food, definitely a wildlife lovers ideal. Beds were comfortable, living room was lovely with large windows and patio door opening out onto decking, and looking over the lake and nature reserve, also the decking had chairs and table for sitting out. Kitchen facilities are brilliant and although we ate out mainly there are plenty of pots pans and dishes in the drawers. Lots of plug sockets, as I did a little bit of work whilst there, so great for laptop charging etc. Bathrooms had good showers so would definitely recommend the Lake House x

Lakehouse

A lovely lodge and location, well equipped for a comfortable stay - the lodge was very clean - unfortunately the previous guests had been smoking which Paula and her team informed us about prior to arrival and offered many alternative accommodation either for the duration of our stay or until the lodge was smoke free - we chose to stay as our break was for my 50th and 11 night duration - we had a lovely break at the lakehouse and would highly recommend this accommodation and Filey bay direct - thanks again Paula xx

Great summer beach house location

This was the second time we have stayed in the Lake house this year as it has the sun all day on the enclosed south facing balcony for our dog, it over looks the lake and the walks on this area are the best on site for early morning and late night walkies. The house is has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Its modern and clean. The only negative is that the King size bed doesn't have fitted bottom sheet on so you are having to tuck it in every day. I actually brought my own king fitted sheet this visit so i had a much better sleep. We will definitely be booking this beach house for next summer.

Beautiful Dog friendly accomodation

The Lake House lodge has everything you need for a comfortable holiday in beautiful surroundings.The view from the living room area and the patio is beautiful . It’s wonderful to look outside onto a beautiful landscape rather than into another property and to sit out in the decking eating a meal whilst listening to and watching the wildlife. It even has a washer and dishwasher and fully working TV’s in each bedroom and in the living room. We had no trouble with WiFi there and it’s s pleasant 10 minute walk . Nothing is too much trouble for the owner and Manager. I just mentioned a little niggle I had to Paula the owner with something the site is responsible for and Sara arrived within half an hour to sort out the issue. Wonderful service. Thankyou so much Sara and Paula for everything

Short lazy break

The lodge was in a lovely position and spotlessly clean, but it was very cold on arrival and we struggled to understand instructions for heating. No welcome pack apart from some sachets of tea and coffee with biscuits but 3 sachets of milk was not enough for 2 cups of tea! There were some odd dishwasher tablets under the sink and a sponge, J cloth and tea towel but only one bin bag. The main bedroom was good but the middle bedroom was a bit short on space, especially for 2 adults, and the mattress is foam/very soft with a plastic cover which made me sweat each night. Communication with Paula was excellent when we had a problem and it was quickly solved. The resort was understandably quiet at this time of year and we found the prices in the pub very high so went off site to eat. Overall we had a good break and the weather was very kind to us. We even sat on the decking on a couple of days.

Great location in a lovely house

My husband and I really enjoyed our 6 night break at the Lake House. From our initial booking to leaving the property there was excellent communication. It's in a great situation, right on the lake and we enjoyed watching the antics of the birds occupying it, along with a fabulous murmeration from the starlings most evenings. The bed was comfortable and everything you need in the kitchen for cooking was there. The holiday village is very attractive and it was lovely to be so close to the sea. I think we will be going back!
