Reached by cable car from Lauterbrunnen, the car free traditional mountain village perched on a sunny cliff at 6000ft offers 360° views of snow-lined peaks - the perfect spot to witness Switzerland’s alpine scenery. Mürren has 200km of the most exciting hiking trails in Switzerland. From leisurely mountain strolls to treacherous summit climbs and the spine-tingling Vía Ferrata, there is a hiking route for all ages through wildflower meadows and waterfalls. There are mountain bike trails from beginner to expert and good quality bikes can be rented in the village. The village also offers 4 clay tennis courts, playgrounds and an astro 5 a side football pitch.
Relax at the end of the day in the indoor pool and spa followed by a drink on the balcony watching the sun go down over the Eiger followed by a visit to one of Murren's many excellent restaurants serving traditional Swiss fare.
