Cozy seaside cottage on its own jetty w rowing boat. 25 minutes to Stockholm!

Charming lakeside cottage at the historic Villa Gustafslund. Originally built in 1890 as a traditional boathouse, it has been carefully renovated in recent years. The dock with a sun deck surrounds the house. The living area is 35 m² on the ground floor with an open floor plan, plus an additional approx. 35 m² on the upper floor/sleeping loft with standing headroom in the centre but decreasing towards the sides. French-style window doors let in plenty of sunlight. The lower level features beautiful tiled floors with underfloor heating. Spacious kitchen area with stove & oven, microwave, and fridge-freezer. There’s a separate dining area by the window—or, when the weather permits, you can set the table right out on the deck among the outdoor furniture! Perfect for the grill! The washing machine and dryer are neatly built into the wall. Fully tiled shower with a separate toilet. Air conditioning and/or heating, including from an air-to-air unit. Two south-facing windows on the lower level. A sofa on the lower level and a large double bed on the upper level, which also offers a lake view. For any children, there are two fold-out extra beds. The hosts live in the property’s main building on the hillside, 50 metres above the lake, where parking is also available. The area is scenic and peaceful, with frequent visits from deer and a rich variety of waterfowl nearby. The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac with minimal car traffic, although the road is not visible at all from the lake cottage. The proximity to the Velamsund Nature Reserve invites you to enjoy many varied forest walks or ski trips in the winter. There are lighted trails for running and cross-country skiing. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Orminge Centre, which offers everything from supermarkets and shops to community services. A bus to Stockholm (Slussen) runs at least once an hour from a stop 600 metres away. The Waxholm ferry to Stockholm or out to the archipelago docks at Riset’s pier, about 1.5 km away. We gladly welcome dogs, and our partially fenced natural garden is a wonderful place for pups to run around, and the beach is perfect for swimming!
