About this property

Winsford Cottage is located in the heart of Exmoor National Park at Wheddon Cross. Dog friendly

Winsford Cottage is one of 6 cottages converted from the original farm buildings in 1989. It is situated in Exmoor National Park and within walking distance (across the fields) of Wheddon Cross with a pub, village shop and petrol station. Within easy driving distance of local attractions: 7 miles from the medieval village of Dunster and Dunster Castle, Porlock and Tarr Steps, 9 miles from the beach & West Somerset Steam Railway.
Our cottages are set within 18 acres of our own grounds comprising gardens and fields with private access to a bridlepath and footpaths. There's a huge BBQ, picnic tables and a sunny south facing terrace - perfect for a cup of tea or early evening G & T! We also have a barn with table tennis, small pool table, table football & board games. Groups are also welcome to use the barn to eat together.
Enjoy our lovely homemade Somerset cream tea once you have settled in.

Winsford Cottage faces east and west and is on one floor. It’s our smallest cottage, cosy and intimate with a lovely outlook over the grounds. There’s a small, sunny cottage-style garden facing east and south with garden furniture and views down the Quarme Valley. Guests, of course, have access to our communal gardens and grounds.
The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and arm-chair, dining table and chairs, 32″ TV with SKY Freeview and DVD player, stone fireplace with a cast iron coal effect fire and a radiator. The kitchen area is well equipped with microwave and electric cooker, fridge with small freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, ample china, pots and pans. Tea towels, surface cleaner and washing up liquid are provided.
The en-suite bedroom has a comfortable double bed made up for you with fresh cotton bed linen. The bathroom has a bath and shower over the bath. Towels and loo rolls are provided. There are radiators in the bathroom and bedroom.
The cottage has gas central heating throughout.

One dog is welcome in Winsford Cottage. We ask dogs to remain out of the bedroom and off the furniture please. There is a £15 charge per dog per stay which will be added to your booking confirmation after you book on the Vrbo website.
There is an unfenced pond so small children should be supervised.
