About this property

Stable Cottage is located in the heart of Exmoor National Park at Wheddon Cross. Dog friendly

Stable Cottage is one of 6 cottages converted from the original farm buildings in 1989. It is situated in Exmoor National Park and within walking distance (across the fields) of Wheddon Cross with a pub, village shop and petrol station. Within easy driving distance of local attractions: 7 miles from the medieval village of Dunster and Dunster Castle, Porlock and Tarr Steps, 9 miles from the beach & West Somerset Steam Railway.
Our cottages are set within 18 acres of our own grounds comprising gardens and fields with private access to a bridlepath and footpaths. There's a huge BBQ, picnic tables and a sunny south facing terrace - perfect for a cup of tea or early evening G & T! We also have a barn with table tennis, small pool table, table football & board games. Groups are also welcome to use the barn to eat together.
We'll give you a delicious homemade Somerset cream tea when you get here.

Stable Cottage is south and east facing with lovely views from the lounge and bedrooms. It is the largest cottage by floor area. There’s a fenced patio with garden furniture as well as access to the communal gardens and grounds. The lounge has two large comfortable sofas, 40″ TV with SKY Freeview and DVD player, pine dining table and chairs, stone fireplace with a electric cast iron log effect fire and two radiators. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric cooker, kettle, toaster, ample pots and pans. Tea towels, dishwasher powder, washing powder, washing up liquid and a surface cleaner are all provided.
Upstairs there is one double (with king bed) and one twin bedroom with comfortable beds. Beds are made up for you with fresh cotton bed linen. Both bedrooms have radiators. The bathroom has a bath and shower over. Towels and loo rolls provided.
The cottage has gas central heating throughout.

Up to two dogs are welcome in Stable Cottage. We ask dogs to remain downstairs and off the furniture please. There is a £15 charge per dog per stay which will be added to your booking confirmation after you book on the Vrbo website.
There is an unfenced pond in the grounds so small children should be supervised.
