We absolutely loved staying at this property. It was so full of character and was genuinely historical having been built by the owners grandfather. The living area is large and the kitchen area well supplied with all the utensils needed. The outside area has a table & chairs and it is very pleasant to eat outside. The only downside is that turning into & coming out of the property is not easy.
While having a vehicle is a must for this location we found our stay extremely pleasant. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit and provided us with great suggestions on what to see while staying there. The location was clean and the owners took a lot of pride in the property. Would visit again in a heart beat!
The house is very comfortable, well appointed and quiet. It was just my wife and I so we had plenty of room but the house can easily accommodate more. It is ideally located as a base from which to visit all the towns in the Valle d'Itria area
Our stay at Casa Ciccone Cardone was wonderful, it's a real trulli house, charming in every way and our hosts were amazing. This property is everything the listing says it is and more, very clean, so well appointed, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful garden. In addition, it is so centrally located to so many places we wanted to visit (Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino, Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, etc.). There is a mini market just around the corner that offers wonderful produce, meat, cheese, wine, etc. so we easily enjoyed many meals on site. Access in and out was simple and the generous parking area made it very easy for us. We highly recommend this property.

Beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished unique architecture. Stunning landscaping and peaceful, quiet property. Coffée shop and neighborhood grocery market few steps away were delightful. Only disappointments were that two features we anticipated were not available for our use: the second bedroom and the hot tub. However, the king sized bed turned out to be more comfortable than the loft bedroom would have been.
We loved our stay here. It is a charming Trullo, comfortable, tastefully decorated and quirky. Also well equipped for cooking. Garden is lovely and provides a number of places to sit outside. San Marco is a beautiful little village with a Bar/cafe, mini market, pharmacy and post office. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming and patient with our poor attempts at Italian. We stumbled on a wine tasting at Olympia, just 50m behind the house near the old church in a beautiful small piazza. Amazing! A perfect location for exploring the area, many wonderful places within half an hour or so by car. Access to further afield possible by train from Fasano only 20mins away where there is great/cheap safe parking. Francesco our host provided a warm welcome on arrival, an excellent set of video clips of how to get there and great suggestions. Highly recommend this home in this village, with a car to discover Puglia easily.
Empfehlenswert.
Bags of character. Fantastic outdoor areas for seating, sunning and lounging. Fabulous communication from the Francesco who made access to the property so easy and inviting. The area is outstanding and locally you have shops, pharmacy, bars and a small butcher/restaurant that serves some excellent food.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The trullo was very large (the pictures on the website don't do it justice -- it's bigger than it looked to us) and can easily accommodate 5 or more guests. One large bedroom downstairs has a queen bed, while the second large bedroom upstairs has a queen and a twin bed. In addition, there are pull-out beds in some of the furniture. The bedrooms have lots of space for storing your clothes (closets and dressers). There is both a living room and a very comfortable sitting room, both with TVs (but only Italian programs), as well as multiple outdoor areas with seating and tables. The washing machine works well, although it has a smaller capacity than most American washers. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, but could use better knives for food preparation.
We found the location to be very convenient, using it as a base for day trips. The trullo is in the village of San Marco, close to Locorotondo (10 minutes), Alberobello (15 minutes), Cisternino (20), Ostuni (40), Bari (60), Polignano a Mare (30), Monopoli (25), Lecce (1 hour 15 minutes), Matera (1 hour 20 minutes), and the Castellano Caves (25). There is a grocery store a 3 minute walk away.
The surrounding is lovely, and there are also restaurants nearby outside of the towns.
We highly recommend it for anyone interested in exploring Puglia.
This property was very authentic and spacious. Very good value! The only thing I would suggest to improve the experience would be slightly better equipping in the kitchen. For example, there were only 3 very inadequate wine glasses, not one good chopping knife, no larger glasses etc. They could also use better labelling on the information about garbage and recycling to make it easier for guests to comply. I realize that it is probably difficult to keep items from disappearing, however, replacement is necessary. These are small inconveniences, but kept me from giving a 5 for overall.

A beautiful casa in an ideal location
We stayed five nights in late October in Casa Ciccone and easily could have stayed longer. The house itself is spacious, charming and beautiful— and spotlessly clean. We were only two people so had plenty of space to spread out! It is equipped with everything you need to prepare even elaborate meals (we did not) and be comfortable. The outside terraces are gorgeous, with lovely gardens and patches of sun or shade as you wish. Even in autumn we enjoyed sitting outside among the rosemary and lavender, in the small village, the mini market supplies most grocery necessities, the bar is friendly, and the one restaurant, Antico Arco, delicious for pizza or a larger traditional dinner. The location is excellent for short day trips to Alborobello, Locorotondo, Cisternina. Finally, our hosts! Francesco and Marisa could not be more helpful, from booking through departure, we would certainly book this casa again if we return to Puglia for more exploring.

Posizione strategia e casa stupenda

Beautiful property in Puglia
Had a wonderful stay in Casa Ciccone near Locorotondo. The welcome we received from the owner was friendly and kind and he explained the house to us as well as giving us tips on the local area - where to visit, what to avoid and so on.
Loved Puglia, loved the house - would definitely come back!

Beautiful restful spot yet close to so many attractions
We loved the spaciousness and as 3 adults we had plenty of room to spread out. Supermarket across the road was a real bonus and the people were lovely. Their products met all our needs.
We made a day trip each day to a whole range of places that were easily within driving distance. We ate out at the various places suggested by the owners when they handed over the keys.
We loved having a washing machine after a few weeks on the road. Amazing how small conveniences make a big difference.
We were there at a particularly hot period and the upstairs bedroom was too hot to sleep in without the terrace door being left open but there was. Mosquito problem as a result. Make sure you bring insect repellant.
We left local Olive oil and detergent for the next guests as all we found was some salt. Maybe a basic supply would help as a litre of olive oil was far more than we could use in 6 days.
Thoroughly recommend. Felt we had chosen a great spot.

Dear mrs Karen
it was a pleasure to have you as our lovely guest , the house was mantain perfect and clean as we consigne to you .
I'm so sorry , i had given you so many information that i forget to show you all the electric device available in any single room to mantain out the mosquitos , i only tell you to look around because the house is completely furnished for any of your needs, sorry again for any inconvenience .
A matter a part is to leave available opened pack of used food (even olive oil) or detergent ( for any purposes) , it is against the hygienic rules, that we strictly follow , all the packs must be closed and freshly new ( as you found in the bathroom), we would like to do it but we can't , so we are obliged to remove all pack and bottle left in the kitchen any time . The sea salt is a disenfectant itself , and in any case the type you found in the kitchen it is the variety we add at water to boil spaghetti, we can leave it , and we do it.
Thank you again for your nice words of appreciation and to have been with us in our wonderful region.
Warmest Regards
Marisa e Francesco
