CASTILLO y PLAYA
"CASTILLO y PLAYA" is a cozy and comfortable apartment ideally located next to the beach and close to shops and supermarkets in the cute town of Puerto Sagunto, located a 25 minute drive or bus-ride up the coast from Valencia city. It is also located 10 minutes from the historic castle town of Sagunto which dates back to the 5th century B.C. and was conquered by Hannibal in the 2nd century B.C., well before the city of Valencia was founded by the Romans.
The apartment is large, bright and recently renovated with a contructed area of 116 m² (1250 ft²), 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is on the fourth floor and has a large balcony facing south, perfect for outdoor breakfasts (with a lateral view of the Mediterranean), plus an interior gallery that opens to the inner courtyard. This arrangement provides a nice cross breeze through the flat which keeps it comfortably cool in the summer, augmented by its four ceiliing fans, and with the option to use its two air conditioning units for quick "chill downs" before sleeping.
The large airy kitchen opens onto the living room and contains granite countertops. It is fully equipped with a dishwasher, induction hob/rangetop, pyro oven, microwave, a 204cm Samsung fridge, undercounter lighting, an ample pantry, Italian and French coffee makers, a toaster and blender. The dining table extends to accomodate six people plus there is a a washing machine in the galería.
As mentioned, the apartment has two hot/cold "splits" which are heat pump units for optional heating in the Winter and air-conditioning in the Summer, as well as 4 ceiling fans, blinds, a mini storage room for beach items (located on the balcony), plus two racks for drying clothes. For entertainment the apartment has WiFi and two flatscreen TVs: one in the living room and the other in the master bedroom.
The ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom has a large shower, sink and toilet. There is also a roomy bathroom serving the other two bedrooms that has a shower-bathtub, sink, toilet and bidet. The apartment also contains a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. All windows have mosquito screens (although there are very few mosquitos in the area).
The building has a video intercom and is well-located in a quiet zone yet only 2 minutes walk to the beach. It is also a 2 minute walk to the large supermarkets Mercadona and Consum as well as to Plaza Mare Nostrum with shops, cafes, restaurants and a playground, and only a 6 minute walk to the bus stop to Sagunto and Valencia Capital (Nr. 115).
