Unnecessary charge for maintenance issue

The stay went smoothly. The flat was as expected; except the mirrors in the property were very basic, cheap and small, and there was no tea/ coffee/ shower gel. The owner met me at the flat for check in. I was surprised to receive an additional bill a few days after check out, claiming the very cheap looking toilet pull chain (flimsy thin chain with no handle), had “clearly been pulled too hard” and it was broken. I believe this sort of flush is designed to be pulled, and it is nonsense the accusation that it was pulled too hard. I have taken this up with Vrbo, who say there is no obligation to pay this charge. I will not be booking this flat, or with Vrbo again.
