We had a wonderful stay at Julia’s house. The apartment is gorgeous and well renovated to capture its original charm. Galata is a great area to stay in. Julia’s Apartment is one street from the busy-ness in a peaceful interesting street right above a fantastic Book and Record Store. Everything was perfect for a fun and fascinating stay in Istanbul. Great neighbourhood

Exactly what we wanted for 3 nights, having spacious rooms and lounge for family of 4 adults. Decor was great. Restaurant recommendations by email were terrific. I even asked for a haircut recommendation!! Great neighbourhood and enjoyed the great breakfast at Cafe Tivoli !!

A really nice vibe to the area.

We found this apartment to be perfect for us when visiting our son in Istanbul. Located close to the Galata Tower it made everywhere easily accessible. And with both the metro and funicular also close by, when you’ve walked around hilly and hot Istanbul all day, it’s nice to make it easy to get home!!! The spade is perfect for 2 to 4 people, and a really nice vibe to the area.

Ideal for a trip to Istanbul

The unit, the neighbor, the proximity to the high street, the tram, are all ideal for a trip to Istanbul. There is market around the corner, and shops for all needs of a long stay. The hosts are proactive with communication and helpful with suggestions.

An excellent place, very clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything that could be expected and more. Julia and Tarkan were very accomodating about changes to our travel plans, and the taxi pickup to and from the airport worked brilliantly. Despite us being late the cab driver waited >45 minutes! Highly recommended!

Whole-heartedly recommend staying in this beautiful home and neighborhood.

We loved our three-night stay at Julia and Tarkan’s home and felt so fortunate it was available. We arranged our airport pickup through them and it was a painless process after lengthy overnight flight, as well as return airport transport. Photos were accurate of this very stylish, immaculate, and comfy flat, with bedding and towels high quality as one would expect given the fine aesthetic throughout. Julietta immediately responded to our few questions and her restaurant suggestions were terrific and varied. I can’t imagine a finer intro to this most vibrant city and whole-heartedly recommend staying in this beautiful home and neighborhood.

We loved the rooftop with a beautiful sea view

Julia was an exceptional host—friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She greeted us warmly and made us feel at ease from the start. The house exceeded expectations. It was spotless, especially the bathroom, which is a top priority for me. As three women traveling, we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. The interior was cozy and well-designed. Though the house is on the second floor with no elevator, bringing up our luggage was no problem. We loved the rooftop bench with a beautiful sea view on the left—perfect for enjoying wine and the scenery. The kitchen was fully equipped, and Julia was always responsive and went above and beyond to assist us. I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again!

You can feel the vibe of history

We stayed here for 2 nights with my friends. Place is amazingly beautiful, you can feel the vibe of history. It is nicely renovated. Also place is walking distance to lots of historical places. Transportation is so easy, terrace is amazing. Host also provided us Istanbul card for public transportation which was so helpful. Thanks Julia and Tarkan

Wonderful historical 'inner city' apartment!

Wonderful historical 'inner city' apartment set amongst narrow streets and a vibrant community with restaurants, shops, bars and local sights. comfortable, roomy bedrooms and living areas. Excellent roomy kitchen and lounging area. There are 2 flights of steep stairs so not suitable for those not able to climb the stairs and port luggage etc. Great opportunities to reach other areas of Istanbul. Of note the Galata Tower literally a minutes walk away as well as the Pera Palace Hotel (for Cocktails, High tea and channeling your inner Agatha Christie). Manager available to contact to help with any requests, information or issues (we had none). Thoroughly recommended.

The terrace is a cool bonus, we have watched sunsets from there.

We loved staying at Julia's place. It was exactly as described, very clean, spacious, comfortable beds and pillows, the terrace is a cool bonus, we have watched sunsets from there. Location is super close to Galata, lovely cafes around. And communications with Julia was perfect, always fast and very helpful.
