Charming Cottage in Taunton town centre. Seconds from the Somerset cricket ground. Lots of character and great location. Layout is open plan. Modern, clean and bright. It has a great feel and is cosy. Located in the Independent Quarter of Taunton. There is no dedicated parking, but plenty of parking nearby. For longer term stays, there is an option of a dedicated parking space up the road.
The Space:
The cottage is hidden right in the centre of Taunton's independent quarter, seconds from the shops, pubs and cricket ground. You have use of the entire house and well kept outside area. The house is charming, quirky and bright. It is a listed building, so it is not sleek and new, it is charming & full of character. It is definitely more home than a hotel!!
The space is Open Plan most of the way through the house. You do need to go through one bedroom to get to another (this have never been an issue, but please be aware!)
You also have your own personal courtyard, that you can use to dine or have a few drinks & to enjoy in the summer months. As much as it is very central it is very very private and you wouldn't know you are in the centre of town.

Located in the Independent Quarter of Taunton & based on the riverside. It's surrounded by bespoke and independent shops, restaurants, wine bar & cafe's and of course great pubs!
It's a stones throw from Somerset Cricket Ground, walking distance from a supermarket & in the centre of town to access further shops & retail outlets.
It's a minutes walk from The Museum of Somerset
5 min walk from the Bus station.
7 minutes walk from the Train station.
12 min drive from Taunton Racecourse.
20 min drive to the Quantock hills- Area of outstanding natural beauty.
35 min drive to Exmoor National Park- Europe's first international dark sky reserve.
45 mins from Porlock & 1hr 40 mins from Lynton & Lynmouth both picturesque harbour villages, on the fringes of Exmoor.
1 hour 10 mins from Bristol City.
1 hour 40 mins drive from North Devon Surf Spots.
Getting Around:
If you would like to stay within Taunton or are here for a certain event in the centre, then you have no need to get a car. The house is based right in the centre walking distance from the bus station & train station. It is central to everything and there are taxis available.
If you want to visit surrounding areas, it is most convenient to hire a car. There is a Budget Car hire down the street from the house (Taunton, St James St) . This would be highly recommended as there are so many beautiful areas to visit in the West Somerset area. *Please note due to current local development works there is only pay and display parking*
It is possible to get to the surrounding areas via bus link, however a little less convenient.

Please note, the cottage has external CCTV for the safety of our guests and the property.
