Cosy shepherd’s hut for two, with mountain and countryside views, perfect for a romantic trip to Montgomeryshire and Powys.. All on the Ground Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: Freeview TV, Woodburner
Kitchen area: Breakfast Area, Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge
Bedroom area: Pull Down Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and logs for wood burner included. Enclosed grounds with sitting-out area (shared with owner). 1 small dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. . Welcome to The Snug, located in the peaceful village of Llansilin just outside the border town of Oswestry.
With spectacular views across Snowdonia on a clear day, The Snug is a great choice for couples looking to slow down the pace and reconnect with nature. After a day spent exploring the market town of Oswestry or Llangollen situated on the River Dee and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Put your feet up in front of the wood burner and soak up the peace and quiet. Other nearby attractions include Park Hall, Powys Castle, Erddig, Chirk Castle, and Llangollen with white water rafting, horse-drawn canal barges, and steam railways. Also, the historic city of Chester is an easy drive and a great place to shop or visit one of the many restaurants. One of the seven wonders of Wales is Llanrhaedr Waterfalls which is within a 15-minute drive.
The interior of the hut has been cleverly designed to create a cosy hideaway for two while still feeling spacious and offering everything you’ll need. To one side, you’ll find the double bed next to a large window so you can sit up in the morning and sip a cup of coffee while you enjoy the view. The wood burner in the corner on the other side of the hut will keep you cosy on chilly evenings and there’s a healthy supply of logs provided. There’s a well-equipped kitchenette where you can prepare simple meals. In a separate room to the end of the hut, you’ll find the bathroom with a toilet, sink, and shower. Be sure to explore the area on foot, wandering around the grounds and taking in the peace and serenity that’s all around you.
