Please note: This property has a natural water supply via spring. . In the rolling hills of Dalnaspidal, this comfortable and cosy cottage is a great base for families looking to get away from it all. Set in a perfect position for touring the Cairngorm National Park and the Scottish Highlands, from Pitlochry to Aviemore. With a wood-burning stove in the cosy lounge and three bedrooms, it really does make for a great holiday base for friends and family alike. The cottage is surrounded by an enclosed garden with fine views over the Grampian and Monadhliath Mountains, and here you can enjoy a barbeque after a day out exploring the area or simply relax and take in the view.
Locally, there is a vast array of choices to be made. Exploring the scenery, golfing, fishing, birdwatching, hillwalking or climbing in the Monadhliath and Cairngorm ranges. Not to mention skiing in winter. There is also a renowned and challenging mountain bike trail centre just out of the village of Laggan, around a 30-minute drive away. Offering a real haven of peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of city life., this is a great choice at any time of the year.
To the north, the villages of Newtonmore and Kingussie are nearby and south is Blair Atholl with its famous castle and the popular town of Pitlochry, bursting with Victorian charm and with plenty of shops and eateries. Discover the famous fish ladder or catch a play at the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Dalwhinnie is 15 miles away and is a good stop-off for touring Loch Ness and the Great Glen to the west.
