Padstow, with its picturesque harbour and fishing village, is only 16 miles away. Similarly close by are Truro's museums, cathedral, restaurants, and cobblestone streets, and the Eden Project. Take the train to beautiful St. Ives and check out the Tate St. Ives gallery. Newquay is an excellent starting point for explorations throughout Cornwall because of its central location.
