We were celebrating my husband's 40th and it was a great cottage, well equipped, perfectly clean, hot tub and BBQ were just what we needed. When ever we had an issue /question the team responded to us very promptly.

Wonderful Family Stay
Our Family had a fabulous weekend at the house. Easy to find, very clean, very spacious & comfortable, we felt like we were staying in a mansion.
Only suggestion would be to include condiments in welcome pack and maybe some seating on the decking outside the back door.

Lovely House - Great for a Friends Gathering
Lovely house, nicely furnished, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great for a friends gathering. The catering option was excellent for our Saturday night meal. Andrew provided delicious meals at very reasonable price. Easy to prepare after a long day walking. Would highly recommend.
A large and immaculate house. Perfect for large family group of various ages. Kitchen room was lovely and great size bedrooms.
We made use of the hot tub a number of times. The games room was very disappointing though.
The local area has a number of attractions and perfect for few days away.

Great for extended family get together
The house and grounds were well looked after, with plenty of crockery, cutlery and seating and general space for the whole family - 10 of us from 2-70 years old. The kitchen is enormous and well equipped. Cooking for ourselves was easy because of the facilities. Bedding and towels were very good quality.
Wentworth Castle is nearby and we called in there on route to the house.
The Trans-Pennine trail provided us with one objective for children on bikes and others on foot. The grounds were safe for the children and the pool table was welcome. The hot tub was spacious and well maintained.
On Easter Sunday we ventured over to Elsecar Heritage Centre where we had a very pleasant time.

Perfect for a family gathering
We booked this house for a family gathering. We were a group of 10 including an elderly relative and a 14 month old. The house was easy to find using the directions provided. We were met and welcomed when we arrived. There was plenty of easy parking at the front of the property. We parked 6 cars with ease and didn't need to do any juggling around when people needed to go out. There is a large sociable kitchen that extends into an area with large sofas with a TV. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering and there is a large fridge freezer. There are 2 further large living rooms with plenty of seating which we didn't actually need to use apart from 2 of our party using one room for quiet study. The stairs have very good fitted wooden gates that can be used for child safety or the restriction of dogs. All bedrooms were large, well presented, had very comfortable mattresses, pillows and good quality bedding. There were good quality towels. There are 2 bathrooms with shower and a large bath in the bathroom on the top floor. Whilst facing onto a main road, we were not conscious of road noise. The garden is dog proof, neat and would be lovely for a BBQ in good weather. The hot tub is a great bonus and we enjoyed using it. It was maintained daily during our stay. We have previously used hot tubs that smell strongly of chemicals, this was not the case here. The 'games room' was rudimentary and we didn't use it.
