Paradise House Darlington

This spacious Victorian terrace house built around 1894 is perfect for large or small families coming together for reunion and large group of friends. The house is centrally located in the town centre with amazing choices of restaurants, bars and shops and the Majestic and hippodrome theatres all within walking distance. The Darlington national train station is only 30 minutes journey to the nearby cities like York, Newcastle & Durham. It has everything you need for short or long-term stays.
The space
This is one of the most luxurious service accommodations in Darlington, the house is beautifully decorated to a contemporary standard. The entire ground floor boasts of kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you need throughout your stay, such as washing machine, fridge freezer, oven and gas hob, toaster kettle and filter coffee machine. There is also a big dining area with a big dining table, that can comfortably seat 8 people or more. At the front of the house, we have a spacious and inviting living area which has two separate three-seater sofa and two-seater sofa chairs as well as a flat-screen smart TV and free Wi-Fi. In addition, there is a WC on the ground floor.

On the first floor are three bedrooms, the first room is ensuite with a double bed, the second room has two single beds and the third room has one single bed. All rooms are radiantly decorated and fully furnished to a higher standard with double wardrobes and drawers as well as, mirrors and comfy chairs in three of the bedrooms. The family bathroom with a bath and shower is also on the first floor.

On the second floor is a massive loft conversion where the fourth bedroom is located. The room has a double bed and a double sofa bed, which can be used as a bed or sofa. This room is decorated with double wardrobes, drawers and a comfy chair with an office desk and a chair. There is a bookshelf with a variety of books for both adults and children, as well as board games.

By placing a booking with us (the property owner / his/her representative) you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 21 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance.
Deposit payments must be 'cleared funds' before a booking can be confirmed. Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set-out here within.

All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, and damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs. Lost keys / fobs / access cards will incur a replacement charge per key / fob / card lost.

Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, e-cigarettes, e-liquids, cigars, snuff or chewing tobacco, is prohibited within the property.

Where on-site parking is provided guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.

If you share the same passion, then this restaurant is only a few stepping stones away from our service accommodation, Paradise House Darlington.

Why they chose this property

The house is centrally located in the town centre, with local shops, and restaurants. There are two popular theatres in the area, the Darlington Hippodrome and the Majestic Theatre which was a recently restored Art Deco theatre, with venue space, bar, and lounge are only 5 minutes’ walk from the house. The Darlington national train station is also a 30-minute quick link to other cities, such as York, Newcastle, and Durham. Overall, the neighbourhood is a vibrant, peaceful, and safe environment.
