About this property
Painter's Cottage - a luxury coastal cottage with spectacular views
Painter's Cottage really is a special holiday home. From its enviable location right in the middle of Salcombe (yet set along peaceful Buckley Street) to the most sensational views over the Salcombe estuary from every floor of the cottage.
The position of the cottage means you can quickly be crabbing along Victoria Quay, ducking out to the bakery for a freshly baked croissant in the morning, or for the more energetic of you, leaping onto the paddle board for a potter along the harbour.
Entering the cottage into the open plan living area you are immediately struck by the bright airy space and super stylish furnishings. The comfortable seating area has gorgeous views over the twinkling estuary and one of the paintings transforms into the television (great invention Samsung).
The well-equipped kitchen is a dream for cooking and entertaining, and the dining area makes for a very sociable space for buzzing breakfasts or boozy suppers.
Heading upstairs, there is a bright family bathroom on the landing with a bath and overhead shower. Up another couple of steps there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom (with kingsize bed) is beautifully styled, spacious and with sensational views over the water. A bunk room is perfect for children, and an extra truckle bed can be set-up on request.
Up to the third floor is another bedroom (with kingsize bed) beautifully adorned and with those panoramic views to boot. A shower room with the most wonderful tiles sits next to the final bedroom which has a double.
Painter's Cottage is a real gem; the location and style completely deliver, and the sea and Salcombe high street are within striking distance for the very best of holidays.
Please don't smoke inside the cottage.
Sorry, no pets allowed.
If you have allergies, please note that dogs may have been in Painter's Cottage in the past.
If you love the look of Painter's Cottage but can't quite fill all of the bedrooms, there is a reduced occupancy version of the house sleeping up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms called Little Painter.
