Beautiful Views - lacking in necessities

Beautiful views, spacious and nicely furnished, charming location although it is a treck from parking up the hill to the property, so pack light. If you only need 2 bedrooms it is functional. Our stay was in May - very chilly. 3rd bedroom an ice chest and not usable. No coffee maker or coffee. If you are planning to prepare a meal cannot use oven, as when you turn it on all power trips for the entire home. Took 4 trips up several flights of stairs to find outside electrical panel and reset each time until we gave up.

First, let’s start with the good part. The view and the pictures are accurate. Now for the truth. I cannot recommend anyone to stay at this property unless they are young, very physically fit, have a vehicle, and want to spend most of their time Out of this town. Urio is a quaint town on Lake Como that is very remote, has very limited very scheduled to allow you to get to other parts of the lake. To get to the property itself from the parking lot is approximately 1/4 mile of extremely steep terrain. This terrain is comprised of broken parts of gravel and very steep steps. Those in our group had to stop approximately twice on the way up in order to simply catch our breath and continue to go. once inside the house, we found one towel per person, one coffee pod per person, electrical adapters that did not fit into the wall, sockets hair dryer made in the United States that would not fit into any of the adapters, except one which then had to be plugged into in a different adapter to be plugged into the wall. The back bedroom is so cold that no one could actually stay there. There are no bathrooms in the bedrooms. There is no shower in the master bedroom the top the tub pictured in the photographs is basically lovely but useless. It is located in the center of the bedroomand the toilet room in that bedroom has what I wouldn’t even call a light. You cannot actually see anything in that bathroom. The hot water in this facility is only adequate for perhaps a one bedroom apartment.

First, we were genuinely surprised to see such a low rating, especially considering you mentioned positive aspects such as the view and the accuracy of the photos. Regarding access to the villa, all relevant details are clearly communicated in advance—both in the listing and during the booking process. The fact that guests need to walk a short distance to reach the house is specifically mentioned to ensure full transparency and to avoid any unpleasant surprises upon arrival. Upon check-in, we provide a full set of towels per guest (small, medium, and large), as well as a welcome kit including coffee, oil, and other essentials. Please note that these are intended as complimentary starter items to make your arrival more comfortable, not as full provisions. As for the back bedroom you found cold, this is truly unexpected, as no previous guest has ever mentioned such an issue. Lastly, the bathrooms are not en-suite, as clearly shown in the listing photos and description. We always encourage guests to carefully review both the images and the information provided to ensure their expectations align with the property layout.
