Welcome to this pleasant and very lakeside holiday home located in the heart of Dalarna. An idyllic setting with lake views, beautiful natural surroundings, and just 100 meters down the hill you will find Lake Vågsjön. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a good standard, and the location is truly outstanding! There is a nice terrace, a large shared garden for socializing and play, and here you can enjoy your holiday and explore Dalarna up close. The cottage is located next to the owner’s house but still feels private. The open-plan kitchen includes a dining area, and the living room is L-shaped with a fireplace/stove that can be used for heating. There is also a comfortable sofa, TV, and WiFi. The house has two bedrooms, each with a double bed. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, shower, and washing machine. There is a wide range of summer activities such as hiking, fishing, swimming, walking trails, cycling routes, and much more. The area has many hiking trails, so pack a picnic and choose which paths and nature areas you would like to explore. A swimming area with a jetty and sandy beach is located 4 km away in Klockarnäs, or you can visit Balungstrand in Rättvik. In the local area you will find a grocery store, petrol station, pizzeria, café, hairdresser, beauty and wellness services, gym, outdoor gym, and a football field. Dalarna is a wonderful region with its historic red-painted buildings and rural countryside. There is much to discover for the whole family. The colorful home of Carl Larsson in Sundborn is a popular destination and a source of inspiration. The homestead is open daily, where visitors can learn more about the world-famous artist couple, their art, love, and lively life. There is also a shop with design items from the estate. Shopping, restaurants, and city life can be found in Falun, about 35 km from the cottage. Tips for things to do: Cycle or rent a canoe at Lake Runn, located between Borlänge and Falun. The lake has many islands and a beautiful archipelago-like character. Enjoy the cafés and restaurants along the lake. You can also visit the historic Falun Copper Mine for a journey into history. For those who want to see moose up close, don’t miss the moose park in Långshyttan! Welcome to a relaxing and experience-filled stay!
