About this property

Romantic retreat in North Norfolk's stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

This tranquil cottage nestled within North Norfolk's breathtaking Area of Natural Beauty is ideal for a coastal retreat. The cottage is warm and luxurious with a wood burning stove and underfloor heating, whilst in the summertime you might prefer to open up the French doors and fire up the barbecue for an alfresco feast in the sunshine. Perfect for couples or young families, you'll have plenty of access to the great outdoors with hiking trails, stunning beaches, and star-studded night skies.

Enjoy the peaceful countryside outlook from the luxuriously renovated open-plan living space, which benefits from French doors leading to your private gardens and sun-kissed patio space, or underfloor heating and a wood burning sofa to cuddle up on the sofa during the winter months. The living room area features a squidgy statement velvet sofa in deep turquoise and midcentury furniture from iconic designers Ercol, Wegner and Eames. The walls are adorned with artwork from British-born contemporary photographer Richard Heeps, who's distinct saturated style is a true love letter to the art of photography.

Broomhill Cottage's spacious kitchen is a joy to cook in with luxurious full stave oak worktops, Mandarin Stone tile splashbacks and pops of colour from statement interior specialists Dowsing and Reynolds. Well stocked with champagne saucers, stylish Dualit accessories, and beautifully toned crockery sets, this kitchen is the perfect place to make the most of North Norfolk's delicious local produce!

Wake up to the calming countryside views to the west of your bedroom window, and enjoy the deep comfort of luxury mattresses and hypoallergenic hotel-grade pillows. Farrow and Ball paint swatches beautifully compliment the Slim Aarons artwork and on-trend retro rattan and cane furniture, adorned with cute bedside accessories such as style classic the Robert's digital radio. This romantic bedroom is a versatile space for a couple or a family with baby or young children, and we can provide extremely comfortable Jay-Be zed beds or a travel cot for a small fee.

Broomhill cottage has a large bathroom enjoying the benefits of both shower and bath, with beautiful artwork once more from Slim Aarons and Richard Heeps, as well as Made in Design pieces such as the high lacquer Bobbin mirror and beautifully toned pastel hanging baskets. We supply plant-based, well-being focussed products from Norfolk Natural Living, and if you love them as much as we do, you will be able to shop the whole range in nearby Holt where they have 3 'slow-luxury' home stores.

Just beautiful…peaceful and quiet.

The property was just amazing, we didn’t want for anything! Even ice in the freezer! The hot tub is a real treat and means that you can enjoy the outside space whatever the weather! My son was in there constantly! The garden is just super and the fencing enabled us to relax with our dog in the garden without the worry of her getting lost! Thanks to Emily the host for her amazingly quick communication, super efficient and kind. Such a wonderful location, we will certainly be heading back as there is loads more to explore. Thanks so much, Jo x

Myself and my husband Siggi have two children (9 and 7) and have been visiting North Norfolk every holiday since our youngest was born. We fell in love with Big Sky country and are never away for long!

Why they chose this property

A stone's throw from The National Trust's Sheringham Park, as well the gorgeous sandy beach at West Runton, Broomhill Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of the North Norfolk coastline. The Georgian market town of Holt is a few minutes drive, with it's stylish boutiques and eateries, as well as a plethora of fabulous antique shops. Cley, with it's windmill, galleries and nature reserve is en route to Wells-next-to-the Sea, a beautiful and historic harbour and seaside town with sprawling white sands. With seal boats, steam trains, sea fishing on Weybourne beach, as well as an endless supply of fabulous gastropubs and restaurants, we are certain that you will enjoy your stay!

What makes this property unique

Surrounded by cornfields, pick-your-own strawberries and ponies, Broomhill cottage is true rural idyll,. With a sunny and secluded private garden perfect for barbecues and star gazing you will awake to the birds singing and watch the hares frolicking in the nearby fields at sunset. This extremely special, new-to-the market cottage is a rare jewel on the stunning North Norfolk coast!
