About this property
The Stables, Great Walsingham
The Stables is a charming 2 bedroom cottage snuggled in the tranquil village of Great Walsingham. This single storey traditional flint cottage is immaculately presented with a contemporary finish. The property has private parking facilities and is just one mile from Little Walsingham and five miles from the famous sublime North Norfolk Coast.
Great Walsingham quieter and more rural that its nearest neighbour, Little Walsingham. Despite its name this small conservation village sits in the vale of the River Stiffkey amongst a scattering of country cottages, farmhouses and timber framed buildings including 16th century Berry Hall where it is said that Henry V111 first met Anne Boleyn. A very short walk from The Stables are the Great Walsingham Barns, which houses a popular cafe and other well established craft based businesses.
Little Walsingham, a medieval village, is a centre of pilgrimage with two Roman Catholic Shrines. The village is also renowned for the 20-acre Walsingham Abbey ground containing the ruins of the Augustinian Priory dating back to 1153.
Little Walsingham supports an amazing number of shops mainly tourist/pilgrim shops but also an award winning farm shop, antique shops, tea shops and two public houses.
The Wells and Walsingham Light Railway links Little Walsingham to the coastal town of Wells-next-the sea, some five miles away.
The Stables is perfectly located for you to explore North Norfolk, it's stately homes, stunning wildlife and glorious beaches.
