About this property

A cosy House with Pool in Costa Vicentina Natural Park

This charming farmhaus was built with concern for the quality of the construction renovated and furnished to provide comfort. A fully equiped kitschen and a washing machine permit you to stay even longer.
A large dining and living space with a view unto the orange and olive trees is airconditioned, as is the bedroom with a double bed. The sofa folds out to become an additional bed.
The garden has about 1 hectare of local fruit trees and plants, flowers and a small vegetable garden.
The terraces allow you to eat outside, being protected from the sun or wind.

Along side of the property, in an area protected by a fence snd bushes, there is a 9 meter long freshwater pool.

A tranquil Haven

We absolutely loved at our stay at this idyllic property, it was the perfect antidote to our very hectic and hot tour of Portugal. Didn't meet Irene, but Maria who looks after the property is a delight, so kind and helpful, even turning up on our doorstep with a lovely bottle of wine!My only comment would be that an information file about the property and area would have been useful, and maybe a guest comment book so people can share their special finds, restaurants etc.I always think you can tell a place is going to be good when they have nice wine glasses and lovely crockery. Irene's place has both!!!

Casa muito bem cuidada e acolhedora. Piscina e espaço envolvente bem cuidados. Anfitriã muito simpática. Tudo excelente. Unico ponto negativo o wifi , praticamente sem sinal e pouca rede móvel o que torna dados móveis também com dificuldade de utilização.

Lovely location

Lovely house, gardens and pool. Maria the housekeeper is wonderful and a great help. Probably needs a few items updating (microwave, kettle, coffee maker, bbq). Separate living area does not have a door lock so we didn't feel confident for our children to sleep in there. Milfontes is 20 minutes drive and a great place to spend an evening, but the pool gardens and patio make a day at the house a great option.

The property photos and descriptions found on VRBO site are accurate. For families or friends seeking a comfortable retreat this property is right for you. It’s an easy 25-35 minute to highly rated beaches an less to Nova de Milafontes for dining out. We loved our visit and left with batteries charged!

Casa excelente, mas...

A casa, o jardim e a piscina eram excelentes, muito bem cuidados. Os dois únicos temas a apontar, na nossa opinião, que fizeram com que a estadia não fosse cinco estrelas foram: a água e a falta de sensação de segurança. A água era castanha, fosse para lavar a loiça, tomar banho, etc... tanto que uma vez quando tirámos a loiça da máquina e um dos copos ficou com água... era castanha. A chaleira no primeiro dia que tentámos usar, olhámos lá para dentro e de ser usada com água da torneira tinha lama no fundo. A água do banho saía castanha, com pedrinhas e sujidade. Apesar de ser uma casa de campo, esperávamos melhor. Em relação à segurança, e aqui é só a nossa percepção, ficámos com uma sensação de falta de segurança... havia entradas pelo menos por dois lados (pelo portão da propriedade que apesar de poder ser fechado não se podia trancar e pelo portão da propriedade abaixo, que estava por norma sempre aberto). As portas e janelas eram todas de vidro sem portadas, permitindo a que qualquer pessoa pudesse ver de fora para dentro sem restrições... tudo isto numa propriedade que fica no campo. Uma das vezes que estávamos na piscina e entraram por ali adentro os senhores para limpar a piscina vindos da propriedade debaixo (apesar de sabermos que eles poderiam “aparecer”, fizeram-no num dia em que não era o que esperávamos) e outra vez que estávamos a tomar o pequeno-almoço vimos uma carrinha no jardim e gente (pensámos que fossem o senhores para tratar do jardim, mas não sabemos, porque ninguém nos avisou sobre esta necessidade durante a nossa estadia)... estes dois episódios, de pessoas a entrar na propriedade sem aviso, deixaram-nos com uma sensação de falta de segurança.

Semana perfeita!

À chegada, a primeira impressão, é de que é ainda mais bonita ao vivo do que nas fotos. Éramos 7 (4 adultos, 2 adolescentes e 1 criança de 9 anos) e ficámos todos muito bem instalados entre as 2 casas. A casa está muito bem equipada e, além dos pequenos-almoços, fizemos ainda algumas refeições principais, incluindo alguns grelhados (peixe fresco e legumes do mercado local de S. Luís). Além das idas à praia (Furnas Rio e Mar, Malhão, Milfontes), passámos bons bocados na piscina (também ela muito limpa). Apenas gostaríamos de sugerir a colocação de mais 1 ou 2 espreguiçadeiras na piscina para grupos maiores. Agradecer também a disponibilidade da D. Maria no check-in e checkout. Também valorizamos o processo de checkout que permite deixar a casa mais segura para quem a limpa a seguir, assim como para quem chega depois, tendo também a garantia de que quem a deixou antes também a deixou segura para nós. Aconselhamos e é provável que regressemos.

Magical place

Lovely house and very suitable for our three generation holiday. Very peaceful location but a car is essential. Pool and gardens really great and we all had such a lovely week. São Luis, the local village has two surprisingly excellent restaurants for such a small place. Some info in the house about the surrounding area would be good but we found some wonderful beaches and even a low key safari park. The house is difficult to find but Maria guided us by phone and stood at the roadside to show us the entrance which was super helpful. The house is spacious enough for everyone to have their own space. I don’t want to say too many nice things about this lovely house because we would like to go back and don’t want to find it all booked up! Lovely gardens, quiet location, great pool what more can I say,

Excellent property with all the facilities.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is very quiet, and the property is large enough for a large family to have their own separate spaces. The pool is a decent size and was kept clean. Car is a necessity but it is a short 5 minute drive to the local town with small supermarkets and some decent restaurants. The sea is about 20 minutes away. 2 weeks went very quickly which is testament to how much we enjoyed our stay.

An oasis in a fabulous part of portugal

We were a group of 6 and the house really suited us giving us plenty of space to be independent but with great places like the terrace and the pool to get together. The house and the grounds are well kept, and obviously well loved by the owner. The kitchen is so well equipped it's hard to think of any utensil that was not there. The garden and terrace really makes it we were lucky with the weather in October so we could have breakfast lunch and dinner on the terrace when we were not eating out and great BBQ. View from terrace is fantastic for watching the setting sun. Marie who looks after the house was great at meeting us very flexible and responded immediately when we had a slight crisis. What a pleasure being able to stay here, the town of São Luis has a great local market every day apart from Monday loads of fresh veg and fruit and fish for the BBQ.

Spacious well-equipped house with a beautiful garden in a relaxing countryside location. We were a group of 6 friends and had a great time, enough space for everyone to do their own thing, and spending every evening together on the terrace grilling fish and enjoying the sunsets.

Heerlijk huis en prachtige tuin met zwembad!

We hebben hier met twee gezinnen twee heerlijke weken gehad. Het huis is comfortabel, sfeervol, smaakvol ingericht, licht en heel ruim. De keuken zeer goed geoutilleerd, heel fijn voor mensen die -net als wij- van koken en lekker eten houden. Een ruim terras en een fantastische tuin vol bloemen en fruitbomen en met een lekker zwembad, Echt een droomplek! Bovendien op ca. 10 km mooie stranden bij Vila Nova de Milfontes en Praia do Malhao.

A++ vacation house and property!

I would wholeheartedly recommend this house. The accommodations were great and everything is attic and well maintained. Absolutely loved that for an extra, had the possibility for cleaning, shopping and cooking services. Everything we needed was there and the Gentle Slopes area is just about perfect and provided the relaxing atmosphere we needed for a great vacation. This property was everything it was advertised as and it exceeded all the expectations.

Um paraíso

A quinta é espectacular. Todas os quartos têm muito charme mas o que é verdadeiramente maravilhoso é a parte exterior. Todos os dias podemos almoçar e jantar no exterior. A piscina está suficientemente afastada para o barulho dos miúdos a brincar não incomodar quem ficasse a descansar. Um achado!
