Historical Renovated Old Mill Apartment in the West Coast of Ireland.
No12
The Old Mill Apartments was built c.1880 as part of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway.
The building was part of a railway complex, situated a short distance from the village of Dromahair, Co. Leitrim, and is a fine example of late nineteenth-century railway architecture. The building is listed on the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, (whose purpose is to identify, record, and evaluate the post-1700 architectural heritage of Ireland for the inclusion of particular structures in their Record of Protected Structures (RPS)) and you can still see some of the original features such as the exposed wooden roof support beams to mention but a few. Looking from the front windows of the Apartment, you can see the original railway station, which is undergoing extensive renovation.
A stay at the Old Mill is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in some of Ireland’s most scenic countryside and rich heritage such as Parks castle a few miles away.

The apartment was perfect for us as a family of three. The location was perfect with a lovely bar/restaurant at the end of the road. The keeping of features was beautiful, and provided everything we needed - would definitely recommend!

Lots of room at this property. The kitchen is spacious, and well stocked. The pub nearby had great food and pints, and you can walk to it in a minute.
We spent three weeks at this property. We wanted a place that allowed us to see the sights and had easy access to grocery shopping. The property was exactly as described and very comfortable. The one suggestion I would have for the property was better lighting in the upstairs area. We enjoy reading and a bit more or brighter lighting would have helped. Otherwise the stay was perfect - plenty of parking, comfortable sleeping and well stocked kictchen. The nearby pub was lovely and it was easy to drive into Sligo for shopping needs. The location is also convenient to very neary sights including the Yeats trail. It is a quiet location and a easy drive to/from Dublin as well as many points along the Wild Atlantic Way. Communication with Craig was very easy and fast.
Hugely spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen with full refrigerator/freezer, full oven/range, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine (no pods), iron (no board), clothes rack, lots of hangers. Only negative, kitchen is up 3 flights of nice wide stairs. Great restaurant/bar on site. Groceries within easy walking distance. Safe quiet area. Tranquil and private.
Très bien équipé et très bien agencé. Confortable et spacieux, le calme de la campagne pour se reposer et passer d'excellentes vacances. A recommander.
