Just 10 minutes from the seaside town of Southwold and within walking distance of the pub and excellent village shop, this characterful cottage in the village of Wangford is ideal for a holiday or short break. On the first floor there’s a galleried king size bedroom with a single beyond and a twin and bathroom on the ground floor with the sociable living space.
GROUND FLOOR
You’re welcomed into the hallway with the living space to your right when relatively steep wooden stairs with a handrail rise to the galleried and single bedrooms; on the left of the hall are the twin bedroom and bathroom.
LIVING/KITCHEN/DINING ROOM
Full of character with a wood burner in the brick fireplace, beams, and wooden floors. The living space has a cosy corner sofa and a couple of extra chairs positioned to watch a programme on the wall mounted TV. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and two ring gas hob with an extractor, an under counter fridge with an ice compartment, a Magi-mix coffee machine (please remember to bring standard Nespresso style pods with you), a milk frother, a microwave, a kettle; and a toaster. There’s a breakfast bar with four stools for meals at home and ample storage in a large cupboard.
TWIN BEDROOM
At the back of the cottage is this charming twin room with a little table between the beds, a chair, and shelves stacked with games for fun times! Being adjacent to the main bedroom this room's ideal for a toddler or baby with a travel cot provided (please bring your own linen for it).
BATHROOM
Opposite the twin room this light room is fitted with a bath, a hand-held shower attachment, a shower curtain, a WC, and a washbasin.
FIRST FLOOR
A super-king size bed takes pride of place in the galleried and carpeted bedroom with attractive bedside units on either side and storage in a chest of drawers and hanging stand.
SINGLE BEDROOM
Tucked quietly at the back of the house with access through a door from the previous bedroom, this room has a sturdy single bed with a pull-out bed (owners are happy for you to use this if it works better for your family but extra linen isn’t supplied). There’s a small table for bits and bobs, hooks and hangers behind the door, and a little chair.
OUTSIDE
Whilst there's no allocated parking you can park outside the property on the road or, if this isn't available, you are able to park opposite on the top of the grass bank. There's a little gate opening into the path at the side of the cottage where you can sit with your morning coffee in the sunshine.
Please note that dogs are strictly forbidden as the owners have allergies to them.
