About this property

LOG Cabin, 5 miles from town, but very country setting

This cute log cabin was built by my grandparents about 35 years ago. The cabin is a little over 5 miles from downtown Somerset, and about 30 minutes from the lake. Play golf up the road at Eagle's Nest Country Club if you don't want to go to the lake, or play a round before the monthly car show. The road is a residential road, with little traffic. Area is very quite, and gets dark, but night time is a great for a time to gather around the fire pit in the back yard. There is enough room in the front to park several cars, and enough room to park the boat when you pull it out of the water.

House also has a pack-n-play in the master closet.

House includes a charcoal grill. Fire wood for the fire pit can be purchased locally if there is none in the back yard.

The master bedroom has a queen bed with ample room, sleeps 2.
The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin on top and a full on the bottom, sleeping 3. There is a sleeper sofa in the livingroom, sleeping 2 there as well.

Laundry facilities are also in the bathroom.

House does have internet, as well as a roku with YouTube TV in the livingroom. As well as a firestick with YouTubeTV in the master bedroom.

No smoking is allowed in the house. However, there is an ash tray provided on the front and back porch.

The cabin was very clean and also very kid friendly. My grandchildren were very excited to see that there were toys there and there was plenty of room for our entire family which consisted of three adults and three children. We also got to meet the host and he was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this cabin to anybody.

We fell in love with this little cabin. It was just as listed. We sat on both porches andwatched the squirrels play & heard many types of birds outside. It was too warm for a fire outside, so we didn't do that.Inside was cozy and had everything we needed and then some. We will stay here again next year.

Cozy Cabin

Such a great little cozy cabin. It has all the necessities needed for a comfortable stay without all the high end items (especially with younger kiddos). This is the second time we have stayed and would love to come back again.

Why they chose this property

This property was built from the ground up by my grandparents in the early 1980's. They built it small for them, so that is why it is small. It is too small for my family, but i don't want to get rid of it either. I have tried the whole rental property in the normal sense, but after getting burned a couple times, it is now just vacations only.

What makes this property unique

The cabin is not far from town, only about 5.5 miles, but it feels like you are in the country! I grew up in the area, so I know it well. Not a busy road, not a busy area. It is close to Eagle's Nest Country Club and Golf course.
