About the host

Your host

I'm the Deputy CEO of a Veterans charity (Woody's Lodge) based near Barry in South Wales (with hubs in West & North Wales) that help veterans of the armed services (and 'Blue Light' emergency services) by providing spaces for them to come together to socialise, undertake stimulating activities, and receive help & support with any issues they may be struggling with. Being a Host enables us to carry on the good work that began in 2017 at HMS Cambria in Sully, S.Wales and has expanded considerably since then.

Why they chose this property

Woody's Lodge was offered the opportunity to acquire the caravan at Bryrodyn Caravan Park and decided it would be a good facility to enable veterans and their families to take a break, and find peace & tranquility (hence the name of our caravan: 'Tranquility Base') in a hectic world. The area of Borth is the county of Ceredigion, right on the coast of this beautiful part of West Wales! There's plenty to see and do if you want, or simply just 'chill out' and enjoy the space, coastal scenery and slower pace of life!

What makes this property unique

Great location right on the coast with direct beach access, situated on a family owned caravan and leisure park that provides 'peace of mind', especially for those travelling with young children. Includes 'The View', an on-site restaurant & bar with a beer garden, balcony, and entertainment on certain evenings. On-site staff to assist with any queries or problems that you might encounter.
